Exclamation NCAA Tournament - Round 2

Washington DC Bracket - Round 1

1 Connecticut - 8*Kentucky - Kentucky doesn't match up well with Connecticut. Wait, just in, their isn't a team in the nation that does. It's just that the Cats really don't take any advantage into this game. Their bigs aren't as good, their guards... damn, every position, including depth belongs to UCONN. Their tough game in round 1 was a nice wake up call for the Huskies.
*
*5*Washington - 4*Illinois - Illinois has the experience, and Washington has the best all around player in college hoops. What will win out? I'm going to take the Huskies. I don't think the Illini can compete with Roy. They don't have a player that can handle Brandon. Dee Brown doesn't have a stopper either, but he won't be able to do this by himself. Washington's ability to slow the Illini teaming with the impossible task of getting back to the final four will get UW to the Sweet Sixteen.
*
* 11*George Mason - 3*North Carolina - Carolina dodged a bullet on Friday night. George Mason just straight took care of Michigan State. I think Carolina finds themselves in the Sweet Sixteen after the weekend is over. George Mason has a good squad, but I'm a Tar Heel believer. They get better and better every game. They should be a tough out all the way through this tourney.
*
* 7*Wichita St - 2*Tennessee - Tennessee's performance on Thursday had me wondering, did the Vols get a 2 seed just because they are being followed by ESPN? Think about it. The longer the Vols are in the Dance, the more ESPN gets to follow what it's like to be in the big dance. Just a thought. A win might have got the Vols back on track, and I'll take them to slip by Wichita State, but that's as far as they'll go.

Oakland Bracket - Round 1

1*Memphis - 9*Bucknell - Bucknell is a damn good team, I don't care what talk radio says. Are they as good as Memphis? No. But this game will be closer than many expect. I think Mr. Carney will find a way to get to the Sweet 16, but Bucknell will do their best to undress the Tigers.
*
*5*Pittsburgh - 13*Bradley - Kansas was ousted a round earlier than I expected, as the Jayhawks were troubled by Bradley a little more than I expected. Pittsburgh will punch their ticket to the round of 16 on Sunday, but not without a solid game against Bradley. Like I said, Krauser won't let his Panthers down.
*
*6*Indiana - 3*Gonzaga - This is a game between to teams that got very lucky. Well Indiana got lucky and Gonzaga got Adam Morrison. He'll be great at the next level. But first, he has to end Mike Davis' run in Indy. Gonzaga should win this game in late minute fashion. Do they know how to win any other way?
*
10*Alabama -*2*UCLA - This is going to be a tight game. UCLA can't go on dominating every team all the way to the final four, and Alabama will show them that in this one. The question is, can the Bruins fight through a battle and come out on top after walking through every game they played in the last month? The answer is no. 'Bama will sneak past UCLA when the bounces don't go the Bruins way.
*

Minneapolis Bracket - Round 2

1*Villanova -*8*Arizona - 'Nova is a very good basketball team, and their attention to detail will get them into the Sweet 16. I think Arizona is a very scary team, they have tons of talent, but I don't think their concentration will match up well with Villanova. Look for Mr. Foye to have a big game after struggling in the first round. Hassan Adams should play very well for the Wildcats.
*
12*Montana - 4*Boston College - Montana sure proved me wrong. I dare you Grizz, do it again. No way Boston College loses this game. Sure, Nevada had their short comings, but Boston College has better big men, better guards, and better intangibles. Oh, and their coaches are better. Basically, Boston College should dominate this match up.
*
11 Wis.-Milwaukee - 3*Florida - Wisconsin Milwaukee is going to take down the Gators of Florida. My reasoning? WM is a solid team that plays hard for 40 minutes. They won't let Florida cluck around like a bunch of chickens for minutes at a time and get away with it. Look for WM to capitalize on the Gator mistakes for the upset.
*
*7*Georgetown - 2*Ohio St - Another upset is on the horizon here. Ohio State isn't playing their best basketball, and after playing pretty poorly on Friday, GU isn't either. What does that mean? This is going to be a messy game. Georgetown has the advantage in trashy games so look for them to pull out on top.
*

ATLANTA Bracket - Round 1

1*Duke - 8*G. Washington - Duke is the better team... Or are they? I don't know about that. If Pops is up for the challenge, our first 1 seed could fall on Saturday. GW barely pulled out the victory in their first round match, but they made it here. And Duke will have their hands full... You know what, screw this "hands full" and "could win" crap, I'll take GW to give Duke the shocker, and ah, shock the world as well.
*
12*Texas A&M - 4*LSU - The Aggies took down Syracuse just as I predicted, and LSU pulled out a close game in round 1 as well. This brings us to round 2. I think LSU is the better team here, and they should show that this weekend. Expect Baby Shaq - Davis to run this game from the inside. A&M will have no answers.
*
* 6*West Virginia - 14*N'western St. - West Virginia dominated, just as I predicted. Expect them to take advantage of North Western State's upset by pistol whipping State on Sunday. Pittsnoggle is a sweet name that will play in the Sweet Sixteen!
*
10*N.C. State - 2*Texas - Texas wins big. I can't believe NC State won after doing their best to miss the whole dance. Texas will feed Aldridge and reap the benefits from doing so. Longhorns win big!
