I'm out of the playoffs, and we have to pick our 3 keepers by the time the regular season is over - who should I take between these 5 guys? I get 3, obviously. Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson, Maurice Jones Drew, Chad Johnson, and Braylon Edwards (PPR league, starting 2 RBs and 3 WRs) - T's Bags in Coquitlam

Nice group of players you have there, and a tough choice to break down and lose two of them. I'd imagine that Larry Johnson has a better offensive line next year, and that team will be a little better overall, plus he's one of the really talented players in this league, so I'd keep him 1st. Clinton Portis has been pretty good this season, despite offensive line woes, and he's pretty young. I like Jones-Drew better than Portis, but it looks like Fred Taylor is coming back for yet another year, and he's as good as ever, so that situation is questionable. Chad Johnson is good, but remains inconsistent, and doesn't put up huge touchdown numbers considering his touches and elite talent. Braylon had a huge start to the season, and though he has tailed off a little toward the end, he's a great touchdown threat, especially if Derek Anderson continues his career with the Browns next season. However, nobody knows if that will be the case. I would probably go with LJ, Chad, and Braylon and hope it all works out with coaching and players staying where they should. In your format, 2 starting RBs only, keeping a guy like Larry and making a play for someone like Jones Drew or Clinton in the first couple rounds looks like a good move. With a 3 WR starting league, beginning with Chad and Braylon probably gets you to the top of the league at that slot, and elite receiver play is very important. Jones Drew is my favorite player in the league, truly, but he doesn't get enough touches to rely on week in and week out.

Earnest Graham or Clinton Portis? The Jaguars or the Buccaneers? - Jody from Oregon State U

IN the finals, Jody, congratulations. I would go with Earnest Graham. He's been consistently good and almost got me into the finals with his solid bow-staff skills last week against Atlanta. As for the Jags and Bucs, both options are great, but I'd go with Jacksonville this week. It seems like they have more to play for, and I think they are the better defense. The Raiders are splitting the game up between JaMarcus Russell and Josh McCown, so I think you have a pretty good play there in Jacksonville. If you go the other way, I like your chances for a big point total as well. The 49ers played decent against the terrible 49ers last week, and Shaun Hill played a nice game at quarterback. I don't think that will last, as there's a reason he was 3rd string all season long. Good luck, Jody!

So, I lost because of Brady, you too I imagine? Are you mad about it because you knew it was going to happen or do you feel okay because Brady got you this far? - Rorry in New Orleans

I know buddy, sorry about that, but we went down in flames together. Weather doesn't have the grandest effect on all the games, but many people will say that it was dumb to play Brady when you had warmer weather options. I say this, sure, I lost because I didn't start Warner over Brady and like anyone else who lost this weekend, I'm a little bit bummed. But, if it would have been different, if I would have lost because I didn't start Brady, that would have been a huge hit. That would have been more painful that I could have imagined. Brady has been fantasy royalty this season, and I had to ride his game. We lost, Rorry, but it's not the end of the world, we still have the 3rd place game to win - any money is better than no money - write that down.
