Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 9
I’m winning this week!!! I’ve had enough! I’m going to FOCUS on FANTASY and take home 1st place – hopefully from Week 9 forward, but at least Week 9!
For those that don’t know exactly how the focus works. All of team LuckyLester picks their Top 5 guys at each position. Based on how many points they score ranks each writer, 1st through 5th for that position. The lowest total ranking (Red Red Ryan had 11 last week) is the winner. Fair enough? Here’s 5 sets of fantasy players for Week 9, then our projections.
(Papa wants to let you know, if you want some old-school bad-ass fantasy advice, send him emails to PAPAWEIMER50@HOTMAIL.COM)!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Peyton Manning – I don’t see the Eagles keeping Manning away from 20 points.
- Adrian Peterson – AP versus the Cardinals defense… Uh oh spaghetti-o.
- Hakeem Nicks- It’s not always easy to pick which Giants WR will go big on Sunday, but Nicks physicality and speed makes him a good bet against the small-ish Seattle DBs.
- Antonio Gates – The first time a TE makes the list, hopefully this doesn’t backfire.
- Phillip Rivers– No healthy receivers… Pshh… He don’t need no stinking receivers!
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Terrell Owens– The Bengals won’t run well, so they’ll pass a lot, and TO will step in front of a few and even catch a couple.
- Greg Jennings– Dallas didn’t look like they were in the business of guarding anybody last week, Jennings is getting looks these days, he’s bound to cash them in.
- LeSean McCoy– The Eagles won’t run a lot, or I’d list McCoy in my Top 5 for the week. Still, he’s a good start against a weak Colts run-D.
- Matt Forte- The Bears don’t run block well, but Forte will get something going against the Bills.
- Eli Manning – I’ve never liked Eli, but he’s getting better, and the Hawks make better look like a king.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or falling off the charts, but I still like them this week…
- Steve Johnson–All he does is score touchdowns, 6 in the last 5 games – Chicago’s secondary doesn’t scare me away for a great play here, despite their high ranking.
- LeGarrette Blount – His best game of the season, and he goes up against a Falcons D that is solid, but not amazing.
- Jacob Tamme–Looking decent as hopeful Dallas Clark impersonator.
- BenJarvus Green-Ellis -Just keeps getting points – not a bad option at all.
- Davone Bess – Owned in just 30% of leagues, he’s double digits every time out.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Jon Kitna–Seeing as though his receivers were responsible for -6 points last week (on INTs they should have caught) I think Kitna has a nice comeback day this time around.
- Jordy Nelson– Maybe Nelson by a hair over Jones? I don’t know, he’s more reliable but doesn’t make the big play as well as JJ. Still, one or both have a chance to do big things.
- James Jones– One of the Packers WRs are gonna have a big day.
- Patrick Crayton – I had to leave him in here, he’s just been too consistent, and he’s going to be the likely #1 against the Texans’ terrible pass D.
- Ben Watson – How bad does Ben want to have a huge day after being under-utilized in New England for all those years? BW has had a great first half of the season.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Carson Palmer–I don’t see him in the Top 16, he’s been too erratic to start against Pittsburgh.
- Jahvid Best– Lost a lot of time to Kevin Smith, but the real problem is the Jets run D.
- Roy Williams– I really don’t see him being anything more than a lucky-play for the rest of the season.
- Mike Williams (SEA)– I think the Giants put too much pressure on the Hawks QBs to get the ball to Big Mike enough.
- Cedric Benson– He’s had one decent day against the Steelers in the last 3 years. I wouldn’t expect number two.
***This week it’s best not to play 49ers, Broncos, Redskins, Jaguars, Rams, or Titans. They are all rocking their bye week in Week 9.***
This is how we project Week 9 to go down.

Who could we have MISSED?
QB: Mark Sanchez: With the Lions playing better against the run, Mark might find more pass plays called than he expects, and with the Lions’ secondary, that could be a good thing.
RB: Ryan Matthews: He’s powerful and fast and one of these days he’s going to break out.
WR: Miles Austin: He’s really good, and the Packers have been beaten by big plays.
TE: Todd Heap: Apparently nobody believes in Heaps 3 TDs over his last two games.
DEF:Bills: I think the Bills could actually have a big day. In leagues that reward TDs, remember, CJ Spiller and Roscoe Parrish can really make plays in the return game.

Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 8
Red Red Ryan took the weekly championship last week, as his last minute change-out, giving him Todd Heap, really helped him in the end as Todd led all tight ends with 20 fantasy points in Week 7. This week we’ve added another fantasy forecaster to our little fantasy focus troop – Nate B. Kuhns brings his Texas-sized fantasy expertise to the group, and he lets it be known, he’s not here to be nice – he’s taking the crown. Right…
(Papa wants to let you know, if you want some old-school bad-ass fantasy advice, send him emails to PAPAWEIMER50@HOTMAIL.COM)!
We went and changed up the Focus competition a couple weeks ago, and we’re sticking with the new format. Instead of grading our scores based on each player’s rankings, we grade everything out based on total fantasy points. It’s more fantasy realistic and more telling as to how we fared in our fantasy predictions.
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Peyton Manning – His team can’t run much, injuries won’t hurt much, the Texans secondary is a nice situation for Peyton.
- Arian Foster- The Colts are a hurting unit, and Foster has a good feeling about dicing up the Colts for the 2nd time this year.
- Reggie Wayne – With Dallas and Austin hurting, Wayne gets just a few more targets – lucky owners.
- Adrian Peterson – He’s a beast, and if Brett does or doesn’t play, I expect about 30 carries for AP – that’s at least 2 TDs.
- Brandon Marshall– I think Cinci has problems with the big and physical type – Marshall fits the bill.
- RANDY MOSS- Just Cuz! Listen, if Brett doesn’t play it might limit Randy’s effectiveness – but if what they say about him is true, that he tries when he wants, then I think he has his best game of the season, because you know he’s going to do anything he can to embarrass his old team.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Terrell Owens– TO has been a beast. He looks fast, he hasn’t dropped as many, he’s a favorite target of Palmer.
- Ryan Torain– A little run-in with Detroit never hurt nobody.
- Felix Jones– With Kitna in, it’s not like the Cowboys are going to run every play, but they’ll run more. Felix is solid.
- Miles Austin- Like I said, Kitna will still throw, and Miles goes up to get the ball well and runs great routes.
- Pierre Garcon – Peyton never throws to just one guy – of the guys he has, it seems like Garcon is at least option #2.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or falling off the charts, but I still like them this week…
- Marshawn Lynch – This is the best match-up Lynch has gone up against thus far. Every week he’ll be better, trade for him now and reap the benefits.
- Jamaal Charles – He’s been 16, 15, and 15 carries the last 3 weeks, if he gets that many again he’ll get 100 on the Bills.
- Brandon Lloyd–Lloyd isn’t the top WR in fantasy anymore, but he still has a solid match-up against his old 49ers team.
- Beanie Wells – He hasn’t done much this season, and nobody is starting him, but I think he has a big day in Week 8.
- Mike Williams (TB) – Still around 50% owned, all this guy does is make plays, and TB plays Arizona, a secondary he’ll torch.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Jon Kitna– So this is the 3rd Kitna reference in this focus, I might as well include the guy. He’s solid, has plenty of weapons.
- Davone Bess– Bess has been pretty dang solid all year, double digit fantasy points in 5 of 6 games – 22$ owned – lock him up.
- Steve Johnson–Steve’s last 4 weeks? 15, 12, 21, 31 fantasy points. 5 touchdowns. Still just 28% owned.
- Patrick Crayton – I wasn’t a huge fan of Crayton’s work last week, I guess I watched too much of him, but he is still probably the best WR in Rivers’ arsenal right now.
- LeGarrette Blount- He should get more carries. Arizona hates tackling. That’s a good combo for this big feller.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Brandon Jackson–I would not expect any kind of output from the Packers’ run game this week.
- Reggie Bush– He’s Baaaaack!!! Pretend he isn’t, you’re welcome.
- Kenny Britt– He has 7 touchdowns in the last 5 games, so you’re going to start him, I just think he has 4 or 5 grabs for about 50 yards and that’s it.
- Mike Williams (SEA)– I love Big Mike and his turnaround, but if I were the Raiders (thank God I’m not!) I would put Nnamdi on him and shut him down.
- Matt Hasselbeck– I think Matt finishes outside the top 20, 12 fantasy points or less, don’t play him if you can get Kitna, Freeman, or Henne, or even Matthew Stafford – I think all four of those low-rated guys have better days.
***Jack and Jill went up the hill and Jack remembered he started bye week players, Jill dumped Jack because he had to run back before kickoff to fix his line-up, cut the date short, and he still didn’t make it in time. Don’t start Falcons, Ravens, Giants, Bears, Eagles, or Browns.***
I was 2nd place in Week 7, starting to smell 1st place again. Nate’s a new edition, but he’s got some game.

Who could we have MISSED?
QB: Brett Favre: We were all to shy, but does anybody really believe he’ll sit? He’ll have a motivated Randy Moss going against the 30th ranked pass defense. It could get wild.
RB: Jamaal Charles: It’s his time share, but 16 carries (about what he’s gotten lately) against the Buffalo Bills – that could churn out 130 yards and a couple touchdowns if Jamaal plays his cleats right.
WR: Dez Bryant: Kitna seems to know full-well what Dez can do, as he went right to him when Tony went down. The Jaguars aren’t in the business of stopping guys like Dez Bryant.
TE: Visanthe Shiancoe: He’s just about fully healed up and if Tarvaris plays, his best friend might just be the big sure-handed TE.
DEF: Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Arizona likes to turn it over, just ask Derrick Anderson – he’s not real good at darts, I’m assuming.

Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 7
Arse’s run atop the fantasy rankings is over for now, but he’s had one hell of a fantasy season and he’s bound to be back in the thick of things this week – plus, it’s not like he fell off the earth – it took a great week from Papa Weimer to thieve the weekly trophy from the Alaskan Arse. Week 7 boasts an entire new set of challenges, and you can bet your beer money that I’ll start winning my trophy sooner or later. Let the games begin!
(Papa wants to let you know, if you want some old-school bad-ass fantasy advice, holler at him by sending emails to PAPAWEIMER50@HOTMAIL.COM)!
We went and changed up the Focus competition last week, and we’re sticking with the new format. Instead of grading our scores based on each player’s rankings, we grade everything out based on total fantasy points. It’s more fantasy realistic and more telling as to how we fared in our fantasy predictions.
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Chris Johnson –Not a great match-up, at least it doesn’t look like it on paper – but I have a feeling CJ does some dirty week against Philly, a week after a pretty ho-hum mediocre week against the Jags.
- Frank Gore- Gore runs into Carolina this week, or should I say he runs through Carolina this week!
- Adrian Peterson – I feel like AP is going to bring the hammer to the Packers this week, as Green Bay’s beat up defensive front can only take so much punishment.
- Steven Jackson – One of the very few true workhorse backs in the league, Steven goes up against a Tampa Bay defense that allowed Chris Ivory to rush for 158 yards this week and gave up 144 yards to Cedric Benson last week.
- Ray Rice– What a great match-up for Ray Rice, one of the best backs in the league, and he’s getting the goal line looks these days, what more can you ask for?
A GREAT week for Running Backs, what can you do?
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Kyle Orton– I still like Orton, rank him 4th despite going up against Nnamdi, too many WR weapons for the Broncos.
- Matt Forte– Forte is bound to give the Redskins fits catching the ball out of the backfield.
- Wes Welker– After Brady found Branch a lot last week, I think lanes open up for his true #1 target this week in San Diego.
- Kevin Kolb- You have to like Kolb’s upside against a Tennessee team that has been torched by speedy receivers.
- Steve Smith (NY) –The Cowboys can’t guard SS, giving up 16 grabs for 244 yards and a touchdown in two games last season.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Marshawn Lynch -Unless the Cardinals learned how to tackle in their bye week, Lynch’s “beastmode” style will accrue points.
- Jamaal Charles –I don’t think Charles is a sleeper starter, but he’s going to have a great week and I ran out of room up top.
- Carson Palmer– People are calling for his job, but what a great match-up coming off a bye. I think he’s a Top 8 QB this week, easy.
- Dwayne Bowe – Hey, he’s moving up, a Super Sleeper last week, a sleeper this week – another good match-up, this time, the Jaguars.
- Mike Williams (SEA) – The big Hawk #1 WR, and former 1st rounder, played great last week against a tough Bears defense. He should be able to continue his success and post up on the Cardinals secondary.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Jason Avant– LOVE Avant this week, nice match-up, probably starting because of DeSean Jackson’s injury – good relationship with Kolb. Like it.
- Danario Alexander– Great WR pick-up this week if you can get him. The Rams just signed him to a big 4-year deal, not bad for starting the season on the practice squad. He’ll be good as a playmaker with Sam Bradford this week.
- Colt McCoy– He’s worth a shot if somehow you didn’t have a Top 15 QB going this week. He played well against the best D in the league and the Saints allow some big plays. He could also get blitzed into oblivion. Then again, that might open up some lanes for McCoy to use his feet.
- Patrick Crayton – With Floyd and Gates hurting, I think Crayton becomes the best route runner in San Diego, and the Chargers play a blah-Patriots-secondary. Somebody has to catch Rivers’ marshmallows!
- Anthony Armstrong- I think Armstrong should be solid again. The Hawks’ young receivers did work on the Bears’ secondary and I think AA should be solid this week as well. At least 5 grabs for 60+ yards.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Ronnie Brown (TB)–What can Brown do for you? Not jack against the Steelers, that’s what. I don’t see the Dolphins running with much success this week at home against the Steel-show.
- Ricky Williams– The same thing Brown can’t do for you.
- Chris Ivory– The rookie did work last week, but the Browns are solid against the run, and I don’t see Ivory getting as many touches in Week 7 as he did in Week 6. All points to a let down.
- Marion Barber– Barber might have lost his startability this season, and he used to be such a beast. The Giants are a bad match-up for the power back.
- Ryan Fitzpatrick– The Bills’ gun-slinger has been good (or put up good points anyway) since he began starting at QB for the Bills, but I don’t see him doing anything worth writing home about against one of the league’s best pass defenses.
***Feee Fiii Fooo FUM, playing Lions, Colts, Jets, or Texans would be dumb!! Be a good fantasy owner, don’t start bye week players! These four teams don’t show up in Week 7.***
Week 6 didn’t see me at the bottom, close though. Papa takes the cake in Week 6, Arse loses his strangle hold – here are the fantasy rankings for Week 7.

Who could we have MISSED?
QB: Tony Romo: He’s been a very good fantasy QB all season long, against anybody.
RB: LeSean McCoy: The Titans are good against the run, but McCoy is a receiving threat, and the Titans don’t stop that too well.
WR: Michael Crabtree, Deion Branch, Brandon Lloyd: Crab has a solid match-up and the 49ers are going his way often. Branch looks like Brady’s new #1 but we aren’t buying it. Lloyd has been one of the best WRs in the league all year and I doubt the Raiders single him up with Nnamdi, even then, he’s got some real good quickness and makes amazing catches.
TE: John Carlson; The Hawks will find open holes in Arizona’s secondary, and Carlson could make the most of that hole in the middle.
DEF: Redskins: Washington may not be awesome, but Jay Cutler and the Bears can make defenses look great – this could be one of those times.

Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 6
The Arse in my way has been big and fat… and productive! Josh Arsenault (@AlaskanArse on Twitter) has come in and won most of the first few rounds of this fight, but a 17 round bout this is, and he’s going down if he thinks I’m throwing in the towel. Red Red Ryan has done work as well, but everyone’s looking to give the Arse a couple of left hooks, maybe even an uppercut to the groin to slow him down a little bit. Here’s Week 6′s Fantasy Focus, and let’s FOCUS on WINNING this week!!!
We’re changing up the Focus competition this week. Instead of grading our scores based on rankings, we’re going for total fantasy points. I think that’s a little more realistic and a little more telling (at least in the fantasy world) as to how the guys we picked fared each week. A special thanks to Jonny Boy in New Mexico for the change – he thought it made more sense to do it that way. It does.
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Peyton Manning – He wouldn’t screw me twice in two weeks, would he? Washington means points.
- Chris Johnson- Chris, I’m sorry, you’re right, you’re awesome. Anybody else think it’s weird that Chris Johnson always twitches is head like Little Itsy-Bitsy Wayne?
- Frank Gore – Oakland can’t stop Frank, we’ll see how the SF coaching staff does in trying to help Oakland this week.
- Reggie Wayne – Hasn’t been great the last couple weeks, but I like his chances against Washington.
- Phillip Rivers– This guy makes Warren Moon’s run and shoot look like the Triple-Option.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Kyle Orton– It looks like Kyle is better than Cutler – Josh McD – bless your heart!
- Ahmad Bradshaw– Going up against the Lions, Bradshaw should put in a good day’s work.
- LaDainian Tomlinson– The Broncos aren’t in the business of stopping the run and the Jets can run on any team in the league with that offensive line.
- Eli Manning- I still don’t like Eli, but this week? Against Detroit? Lock it up, Eli!
- Jay Cutler –His face is dumb, he’s likely to play, and the Hawks can’t defend the pass.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Johnny Knox -JK. No, Just Kidding. Wait, I’m not kidding on Knox. Cutler’s back, so is JK. Wait….
- Jamaal Charles –It’s looking like the Chiefs are smartening up about who should get the most touches in their offense.
- Ryan Torain– The Colts do some things well, stopping the run isn’t one of them. Expect Washington to try real hard to control the clock on Sunday.
- BenJarvus Green-Ellis– This guy, and all his nicknames, should get plenty of work against a Baltimore defense that is a little overrated against the run.
- Pierre Garcon – Many have forgotten about Pierre, but he should be productive against Washington as most #2′s usually are against the Redskins.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Cadillac Williams– RBs put up big points against New Orleans, look for Caddy to have a solid day.
- Derrick Mason- If ever there’s a time to take a risk on the old man, now is it, the Patriots give up lots of WR points.
- Dwayne Bowe– I’ve watched Bowe drop some passes and have to think he’s up there in drops this season, but Houston brings a nice opportunity for him to bounce back. If he’s been dropped, take a chance.
- Joshua Cribbs – The match-up isn’t good, but there’s always some problems with taking a super-sleeper, on the bright side I think he gets about 10-12 wildcat snaps this week.
- Anthony Armstrong- Looks to be winning the #2 job in Washington, and that’s worth a shot right there.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Mike Williams (TB)–I love Mike, but lets just say I wouldn’t expect much from him this week.
- Sam Bradford– San Diego has a tough secondary and who will Bradford throw to?
- Shaun Hill – This is the week it falls apart for Shaun Hill and his owners.
- Jahvid Best– Best might want his toe to flare up this Friday – I’m just saying, the G-Men are tough right now and Best isn’t 100%.
- Peyton Hillis– Tough to sit this battering ram as he’s had good days against tough Ds, but Pittsburgh is more than a tough D, and they’re going to have about 15 guys in the box.
***Panthers (why would you start any of them anyway?), Cardinals (ditto outside of Larry Fitzgerald), Bengals (TO will be fined during his week off), and Bills (Fred Jackson, maybe? Ryan Fitzpatrick, possibly?) all have BYE Weeks in Week 6, so don’t get caught with them in your starting lineup!!!***
I still haven’t won since Week 1, and I’m not in the business of losing. So I’m turning it around – take me to the promise land, LeSean McCoy!

Who might we have missed?
QB: Jay Cutler: I’m kicking myself already.
RB: Ray Rice: He’s just so good.
WR: Austin Collie: Hard to argue with his match-up (GREAT) and his stats (BETTER) but still didn’t get one nod from the LL.com crew.
TE: Jason Witten; His big Week 5 went basically unnoticed by the LL crew, but he could have a big day.
DEF: Oakland Raiders: The way San Francisco has been losing/turning the ball over – you’d think the Raiders would be a solid choice in a tough week for picking defenses – but they go unranked. Maybe because they are Oakland.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 5
October 7, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 5: I have given you some great pearls so far this season, and I’ve told you to start guys like the Moss brothers, Randy and Santana, on weeks where they played from start to finish yet didn’t record a catch or a yard. Not good. But with the pats on the back come the kicks in the ace, and I’m willing to accept both. This week, the 2nd bye week of the season, I’ve got some big time performers, a couple solid plays, some special treats, and five guys that should play well below their point totals thus far. And the game, well, I plan on taking the title this week, my rankings are pretty legit!
You’ve got to give Arse (@AlaskanArse on Twitter) his due, though, he finished 1st in 3 categories, the big 3 in fact, and 2nd in ranking TEs and Defenses. That’s quite a week, and definitely under par. He’s going to be a tough fight, but I’m taking him down!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Peyton Manning – The guy is special, right now he’s running this thing, has to be #1.
- Frank Gore- Gore needs to get the ball 30 times in this game, the 49ers can’t lose another game.
- Reggie Wayne – Peyton’s main hombre, Wayne has the best hands in the league; perfect routes.
- Maurice Jones-Drew – The Jaguars showed some life last week, and MJD is a top talent.
- Roddy White– Unlike most receivers, Roddy gets the ball game in and game out, and he has a nice match-up this week.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Cedric Benson –Tampa Bay will have to stop Benson 25+ times this week, not gonna do it.
- Terrell Owens– I know this is a receiver and a RB right next to each other – don’t care.
- Ryan Matthews – I like what Matthews brings, and he’ll get more carries, but more important – they play the non-tackling Cardinals this Sunday.
- Eli Manning- I’m usually the anti-Eli, but he’s got a great match-up against the Texans secondary.
- Sam Bradford–Still just a rookie, the Lions secondary will make him look like an All Pro.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Kevin Kolb -People are giving up on this guy, but with a full week to prepare, he’ll hit SF hard.
- Ryan Torain –The Redskins’ run game is looking better and better, RT is the lone survivor in that backfield right now – take advantage of that!
- Brett Favre– Brett is getting dropped, and people think he’s done – he’ll be back to 250+ yards and a couple touchdowns this week, even against the mighty Jets.
- Lance Moore– Lance will stay in my “sleeper starters” section until somebody else ranks him in the Top 25.
- Brent Celek – Celek hasn’t gotten as many targets, catches, dates, TDs this season – but Kolb likes him, and he’ll get through the 49ers on Sunday.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Ladell Betts– If you need a guy, he might be a last minute shot in the dark.
- Fred Jackson- If he’s been dropped, he might be a good risk to take.
- Mike Bell– If McCoy can’t go, and his ribs might hurt him, Bell is the guy in Philly’s backfield.
- Harry Douglas – So far, opposing offenses have picked on rookie CB, Joe Hadden – this week, Douglas will see some one on one time with Haden, a solid super sleeper here!
- Brandon Gibson- Gibson wouldn’t surprise me if he totaled over 80 yards this week. That’s a great super sleeper!
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Larry Fitzgerald–I just don’t think the Saints will let Fitz get the ball, not with Max Hall at the Q.
- Jabbar Gaffney– He’s had some solid games, but he’s moving down the depth chart and draws the Ravens in Week 5. Stay away from him.
- Chris Johnson – It’d be tough for me to sit Chris, no doubt, but I don’t expect more than 90 rushing yards and maybe 1 touchdown. If you have a guy that should get you more than that, be brave, sit the fantasy hero.
- Kyle Orton– I’m trying one more week with Orton, he killed me last week with a great game. This week he has to go up against the #1 pass defense in the league. Will he make me pay twice?
- Jonathan Stewart– Stewart didn’t have great numbers aside from one blown coverage catch for a touchdown – so don’t start him thinking he’ll keep that up. Plus, he has the Bears. Yeah, Da Bears!
***Patriots (minus Moss), Dolphins (hot off two losses), Steelers (with Big Ben back) and Seattle (with Marshawn Lynch in the study room) all have Byes, so don’t play their players!!!***
I still haven’t won since Week 1, and I’m not liking this business as much anymore. I’m not in the business of losing. That said, Josh continues to kill it, ranking #1 in QBs, RBs, and WRs – what we like to call the Big 3, but the big Arse continues to Hate just about everything – check out his new Hate/Hate article today! Hilarious. Anyway, hopefully Week 5 gets better, if not, it’s chicken sacrifice time – Pedro Cerano taught me that.

Who might we have missed?
QB: Tony Romo: Tough match-up and all, Tony can put up some big totals with all those weapons in Dallas.
RB: Peyton Hillis ignored again, it might have something to do with race – has nothing to do with the fact that he had a TV show to explain that he’s leaving Cleveland to go to Miami. Nothing.
WR: Ochocinco – with TO going off last week, Chad might get some open looks – and the Bengals have a nice match-up this week to get back on the winning track.
TE: Chris Cooley; consistently putting up stats as Donovan’s go-to-guy, but went unpicked this weekend.
DEF: Jacksonville Jaguars: They are playing the Bills – that’s about all they’ve got going for them, but it’s something, I’m telling you there’s a chance!
NFL Week 4 2010 Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus
September 30, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
NFL Week 4 2010 Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus: I was brutal with my elite starters last week, four of them finished outside the top half of their own position, and it’s no wonder that my own fantasy teams didn’t do so hot either. Well, crap burger. My Wife hates that term, I kind of like it. I only use it around here when she’s being a real crap burger, and I constantly use it everywhere else I can get my word usage on. I like these games I play.
For this week, not to forget, folks – there are four teams taking the week off for lack of something worthwhile to do, like play a football game. Those teams are the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, and we can’t forget the undefeated 3-0 Chiefs of Kansas City. So, don’t be leaving any bye week players in your line-up, you’ve been properly warned.
There are some big match-ups this week: a defensive masterpiece like Baltimore/Pittsburgh and an offensive gun-show like Seattle/St. Louis… Seattle and St. Louis? Those cities still have NFL teams? In the same division? Both are 2 and 1? Get the crap burger out of there! More to come, enjoy!!!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Chris Johnson – The Broncos should pray, maybe it will help them tackle Chris Johnson on Sunday.
- Aaron Rodgers – Detroit… That’s all.
- Randy Moss – If Jason Allen has trouble guarding Braylon Edwards, he should injure himself in practice this week…
- Mike Vick– Nobody has been playing awesome as Michael, Washington is ranked 30 in pass D.
- Brandon Marshall – Not being ranked here for what he did last week, but for what Chad Henne did to the Patriots late last season.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Pierre Thomas – PT should get ample opportunities to exploit the Panthers weak defense.
- Terrell Owens– The targets are there, I think TO makes the most of them this week.
- Joseph Addai – Addai has to play against the Jaguars this weekend, I mean gets to.
- Beanie Wells- San Diego has been good against the run, but 22 carries for this beanie baby doesn’t seem fair.
- Matt Ryan–Ryan has a real opportunity to be great, the 49ers have obliged to plenty opposing quarterbacks’ wants all season thus far. Why stop now when it’s un-working so well?
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Louis Murphy – Houston is a run-stuff unit, but the airways are open.
- Michael Crabtree –Crab has been dropped in recent weeks, might be a good time to pick him up!
- Lee Evans– Yet to have a great week, the Jets could provide that opportunity for Lee to get deep once or twice.
- Lance Moore– In my 3 for Thursday article, I said Lance would flourish. He will/is as we speak.
- Clinton Portis – CP was well on his way to a good week before his wrist slowed him down – against Philly I think he approaches 100 yards.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- David Garrard– Unless he really is this bad, things are bound to turn around – he’s always been better at home than on the road, this is the time, David!
- Donald Brown- With Addai hurting a bit, and the Colts bound to be leading the Jaguars, Brown could get significant touches.
- Sam Bradford– Sam was worth every bit of that #1 overall pick, he’ll show a blah Hawks secondary what he can do as a young buck. I expect a Top 15 finish for Sam.
- Devery Henderson – The Panthers seem like a perfect game for Devery to get lost a couple times.
- Jacoby Jones- #2 and #3 receivers can exploit the Raiders, especially when they are as fast as Jones.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Steve Smith– I hope for me that I am wrong here, but the Saints are smarter than to late Steve Smith beat them, right?
- Andre Johnson– Nnamdi will be on Johnson all day, and AJ isn’t all healthy – Foster will run many times, I just don’t see a big day for the best receiver in football.
- Mark Sanchez – No need to pass on Buffalo, it’s a tough job and if you can run they are easy to handle.
- Kyle Orton– Tennessee makes everyone run to beat them – Denver can’t run, so Orton is in trouble.
- Matt Forte– If I’m the Giants I’m taking away the dumps and making Jay Cutler play with fire down the middle of the field – I think they just might listen to me and make Forte’s value drop.
***Week Four dances without Cowboys, Bucs, Chiefs, and Vikings – but with everyone else!***
Okay, I’m back in business this week – we have a lot of very similar picks in the QB/RB/TE positions – but there are enough differences to separate one from another – especially in WRs and DSTs. Well, I have a good group of different tastes than the rest, but what’s new, I’m bowling for Championships here.

Who could we have missed on?
QB: One bad week and everyone’s off of Matt Schaub. I know Nnamdi is a great corner, but Schaub has a couple weapons in Houston, he could still torch the rest of the Raiders.
RB: Even though Peyton Hillis did 140+ yards of damage to the Steelers last week, nobody is betting on Rashard Mendenhal to carry for big points on Sunday – I think he could be great.
WR: Nobody picked Anquan Boldin, Calvin Johnson, or Larry Fitzgerald. Those are three great players, though stuck in tough match-ups, that could easily out offense the great defense and have big weeks.
TE: Jeremy Shockey; It’s tough to pass up the likes of Gates, Clark, Finley, Gonzo, and Keller/Davis/Cooley- but without Reggie Bush, Shockey will see more targets – could that move him into the Top 5? Very possible.
DEF: Nobody took the Colts, but how bad have the Jaguars been lately? You’d think they were in the NFC West with the way they’ve been playing the last couple weeks. Pathetic.
Week 3 2010 Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus
September 22, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
Alright, nearly every single one of my fantasy teams (yeah, did you expect anything else, I own a few) lost last week. All except one, a league where only points are tallied, and I happened to win the week in that one. Anyway, all head to head leagues ended in a loss, and the bad part was that I was a Top 5 point scorer in every single league. Killing me. But that’s the luck of the draw, sometimes when you win you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win- and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose – or something like that (look up Gloria in White Men Can’t Jump, she’ll tell Billy Hoyle, and he can tell you). This week I’m all about winning – here’s how we hug it out on The Fantasy Focus, Week 3 edition.
“If you are new to LuckyLester.com’s Fantasy Focus, this is how it works…
Every week I’ll list a plethora of starting options categorized into four groups; Elite Starters, Solid Starters, Sleeper Starters, and now Super Sleeper Starters. I’ll list my top 5 at each spot. The titles speak for themselves. Also, I have 5 guys I’d bench – and these aren’t normally terrible players.
At the end of the article, the LuckyLester staff will list their Top 5 players at each position (sans kicker, because, well, we don’t rank kickers – we have better things to do like shoot spit-wads at cars through our window. Yep. At the beginning of the next week (Tuesday or Wednesday) we get out the Review – always a good time to take credit, and blame for the things we said.”
Here’s what I think about Week 3….
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Matt Schaub – Because the Cowboys have struggled, but are great against the run.
- Adrian Peterson– DETROIT is in town. Yep. Sold.
- LeSean McCoy – Vick knows how to rely on McCoy, and the young Pitt back is doing work.
- Andre Johnson– I know the Cowboys are solid defensively, but AJ isn’t to be stopped.
- Miles Austin – Tough to go away from this guy after a couple huge weeks in a row.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Mike Sims-Walker – I see the big Jaguar WR having another great week in Week 3.
- Terrell Owens– Hasn’t done much but against Carolina I like his chances of being Top 25.
- Darren McFadden – This is the guy Oakland drafted in the Top 5, good match-up for him, too.
- Matt Forte – Matt Forte catches so many dump downs that he’s a great option in PPRs.
- Mike Vick– He’s going to be solid as long as he’s doing what he’s doing – against anyone. Freak.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Eddie Royal – Firmly out of his sophomore slump, the speedy wideout will catch 6-10 balls.
- Jon Stewart –Even in his back-up role, this week he’ll get at least 15 touches – Top 25 RB.
- Johnny Knox– Had 160+ yards and a touchdown in 2 games against GB last season.
- Austin Collie– If Champ plays, I really like Collie – if he doesn’t well, not the worst option you could have.
- Felix Jones– He’s dropped off the charts this season, but his yard per carry average has always been amazing, I think he catches up this week, even against a tough defense.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Jason Avant– Vick likes to go to Avant, he trusts him, and I think that gets Jason double digits this week.
- Darius Heyward-Bey– Might be crazy to predict a Raider-receiver to do well, let alone this guy, but against Arizona I think his size comes in handy.
- Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis – With Faulk out with a did ACL, Green-Ellis could get 10 more snaps per game. That could be good if you need a last ditch effort.
- TJ Houshmandzadeh – This is the game Housh has his first big one for his new team.
- Aaron Hernandez- I like the Bills’ corners, so I think Brady attacks via the TE.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Arian Foster– He’s averaging 30 points a week – but I don’t think he gets past 15 this week. If you’re happy with that, keep him in, if you have an option you like more, bench him.
- Steve Smith– I’m not putting my sitting Steve on Claussen, I like Jimmy more than Moore, I just don’t think Cincinnati allows Steve to beat them, less than 12 fantasy points.
- Josh Freeman – Two good weeks for Josh, meet the Steelers = two good weeks and one bad one.
- Larry Fitzgerald– He’s averaging 14, he’ll be lucky if he gets half that while getting shut down by Nnamdi Asomugha.
- Jamaal Charles– I just don’t see a big day against the 49ers, but he’s always one run away…
***Week three, look into the stats and you will see, the winner of this week is me!***
The luck of the Saints, and the subsequent unluck of the me, did me in last week. Not this week, oh no, the Saints luck has to run out one of these days. So far, just two weeks in, there have been 3 winners: Red Ryan and myself (Lucky Lester) shared victory in Week 1, and Week 2 saw Josh Arsenault (follow his football musing @AlaskanArse on twitter) snatch victory from the hands of second place. So everyone has a win, everyone besides the old me – but he’s always told me he’s a Week 3 warrior – we’ll see…

Who do I think we could have missed?
QB: Jay Cutler, not the biggest fan of Jay, but he looks to be lighting up the airways, yet he was a forgotten man in our Top 5 – like always, he could have a huge day.
RB: Matt Forte, still nobody believes in this guy. I know the Packers run-D is tough, but he catches a lot of balls out of the backfield and he’s a very talented receiving option. We play PPR here, so I have to wonder what it takes to rank this guy in the Top 5. (Runner up, Jahvid Best, TD machine thus far)
WR: Hakeem Nicks, I know the Titans have a tough defense, but Nicks is a special cat that will get open against that secondary – Eli can’t be that bad for two games in a row, right?
TE: Kellen Winslow, always one of the most dangerous TEs on the field.
DEF: Washington Redskins, they could have a big shutdown fest against the Rams.
Week 2 Fantasy Football Rankings: Fantasy Focus Week 2 2010
September 16, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
Alright, already in Week 1 I took home the Week’s top prize, it’s not staged, folks, I’m just that good! Okay, okay, I share Week 1′s title with a red-head physical education teacher that just so happens to be a pitcher (kind of a loony group of characters). This week I plan on taking the title all to myself, one of the few selfish acts I’ll attempt! On with the show!
If you are new to LuckyLester.com’s Fantasy Focus, this is how it works…
Every week I’ll list a plethora of starting options categorized into four groups; Elite Starters, Solid Starters, Sleeper Starters, and now Super Sleeper Starters. I’ll list my top 5 at each spot. The titles speak for themselves. Also, I have 5 guys I’d bench – and these aren’t normally terrible players.
At the end of the article, the LuckyLester staff will list their Top 5 players at each position (sans kicker, because, well, we don’t rank kickers – we have better things to do like shoot spit-wads at cars through our window. Yep.
Focus up now, here we go!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Drew Brees – The 49ers have a very good run D, but Drew throws the ball okay.
- Rashard Mendenhall– The Titans have trouble stopping the run, and you know the Steelers are going to feed it to Mendenhall who ran tough last week.
- Chris Johnson – I can’t leave him out of my Top 5, not matter who he’s playing against.
- Andre Johnson– AJ is a beast, and with a new found focus on stopping Foster, he should benefit in Week 2.
- Phillip Rivers – The fiery one looked better late, last week, I think he looks good early here.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Ahmad Bradshaw – Should have plenty of room against a Bob Sanders-less Colts D.
- LeSean McCoy– Should find room on the ground and in the air against Detroit.
- Santana Moss – Didn’t go off last week, but this time around against Houston? Yep.
- Jabar Gaffney – Eddie Royal could be out which means more targets for Gaffney.
- Mike Vick– If he starts, I think he will, I couldn’t pick 7 guys I’d rather have in than him.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Mike Williams (TB) –Both Mikes played well, flashed talent, and had an overall solid week -but this kid looks special.
- Laurent Robinson – Mark Clayton had a lot of looks last week, but I think Robinson even’s it out, and is a better red-zone target than Clayton, and Nnamdi might get Mark.
- Jeremy Maclin– He’s too fast and the Lions secondary will let him get deep – Mike Vick has a cannon and he’s going to use is a couple times this week.
- Justin Forsett– They have to give him at least 12 carries this week… Right? Pete, c’mon!
- Michael Bush– McFadden was great last week, but Bush is still the best back in Oakland – and he’s back in Week 2.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Fred Taylor – Tough match-up, old guy, but the Patriots have a way of getting him 70-80 yards, mostly via tom-foolery.
- Mark Sanchez– Laugh if you want, but after all the “check down” talk – I think Sanchez takes a few chances this week and finishes in the Top 16 amongst QBs.
- Josh Freeman – He’s just a 2nd year guy, but Carolina’s defense looked like it had no pass rush, and that’s good for any QB.
- Legedu Naanee – He didn’t look good early, but Phillip looked to him late. Good sign.
- Jacoby Jones- Too fast, and I’m telling you, the running game will help the deep threats.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- Donald Driver– A mainstay off this list for years, Driver will have his hands full against Buffalo’s secondary.
- Pierre Thomas– I don’t think the Saints will run more than 10 times, and I don’t think Thomas will get all those carries, and I don’t think he’ll do much with the ones he gets.
- Knowshon Moreno – I think the Hawks run-D is for real. Not sure about their offense.
- Cedric Benson– Just the up in pass plays takes away from Benson a bit, and the Ravens D-front says no way Jose.
- Jay Cutler– This is a tough chance I’m taking, because as much as he’ll throw he could be okay fantasy-wise without a good game – but I say he finishes out of the Top 15 this week -the pass rush is too tough!
***Week two, without further ado, pee or poo, our picks for you! Elephant.***

Fantasy Focus 2010: Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings
September 8, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
The Fantasy Focus got so much action that it’s back again for another year of me showing why I’m Lucky Lester and the rest of these guys ain’t. Okay, Okay, I love what these guys do (Red, Papa, Arse) but it’s hard to argue with records, and none of these guys got it like I got it. At least not last year. This year could be different, however, and that’s why we play the game.
If you are new to LuckyLester.com’s Fantasy Focus, this is how it works. Every week I’ll list a plethora of starting options categorized into four groups; Elite Starters, Solid Starters, Sleeper Starters, and now Super Sleeper Starters. I’ll list my top 5 at each spot. The titles speak for themselves, but I have a short sentence after each to better clarify what I’m listing. Also, I have 5 guys I’d bench – and these aren’t normally terrible players, these are guys owned and started in most leagues – so the Fantasy Focus should give you big time help in making your big time decisions.
Finally, at the end of the article, the LuckyLester staff will list their Top 5 players at each position (sans kicker, because, well, we don’t rank kickers – we have better things to do like shoot spit-wads at cars through our window. Yep.
There’s lots of good info in each Focus, so lock in and load up!!!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week, looking for Top 5 at their position.
- Frank Gore – I think Gore gores (yep, I did it) the Seahawks per usual.
- Chris Johnson– CJ is really 1B here, how can he not make the Raiders tap out?
- Jay Cutler – Make me sick to my stomach, but I see a lot to like against Detroit in Week 1.
- Adrian Peterson – Something to prove, that’s more than AP needs to have a big week right out of the gates – he’ll never be healthier than Week 1.
- Philip Rivers – I have to like King Phillip to torture the Chiefs, even in Kansas City.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week.
- Jerome Harrison –The RB drafted outside of the Top 25 will be in the Top 10 this week.
- Carnell Williams– In a big low-end RB starter match-up, Caddy will match Jerome.
- Santana Moss – Moss tortures the Cowboys, and now he has a gunslinger to help.
- Antonio Gates – 14 catches 170+ yards and 2 touchdowns against KC last year.
- Johnny Knox – One of my Top 10 WRs this week, a great match-up against DET’s bad secondary.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
- Alex Smith –Smith might not throw as much this season, but against Seattle he’s still a nice play if your starter has a tough match-up.
- Laurent Robinson – Robinson started off 2009 with some good stuff, and I think he’ll do the same right off the bat in 2010.
- Nate Burleson– Nasty Nate seems like a great compliment to Calvin Johnson, single coverage, one deep throw, Chicago’s secondary, watch out.
- Mike Wiliams (TB)– The rookie is for real, and his match-up against Cleveland makes him startable right away.
- Josh Cribbs– I feel like when Holmgren signed Josh to a big deal, that meant he’d get many more touches in 2010. With Hardesty gone for the year, even more touches are there for the taking.
Super Sleepers: Undrafted guys that are usually unowned, but in a pinch put ‘em in coach!
- Mike Williams (SEA) – Back in Carrol’s hands, on a team that should be down, throws will go the big receivers’ way.
- Darren McFadden– D-Mac has been all but forgotten, but maybe, just maybe he gets off to a nice start – if you are hurting, he’s worth a shot.
- Trent Edwards – Could Chan Gailey be what Trent needed? Maybe. But what’s more to like is Trent’s match-up against Miami, not the most dominant pass defense in the L.
- Anthony Gonzalez – A huge thorn in my side last year, but injuries can be tough. The Texans usually play Wayne tough, so 2nd, 3rd, and 4th receivers could put up solid numbers.
- Leon Washington – A “last round” pick in some leagues, forgotten in others, Leon has a chance to get 10-15 touches on Sunday, even against a good 49er D, that’s worth a look.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
- TJ Houshmandzadeh– I like his new team, better than Seattle, but wait a couple weeks before you put Housh in your starting lineup.
- Brandon Marshall– The Buffalo secondary is probably the most underrated piece of any defense in all of football. I would sit Marshall if I had a solid back-up.
- Joseph Addai – He’s not 100% and the Texans’ front seven is legit, plus not a single 100-yard game last season for JA. Less than 70 yards rushing in each game, and just a single TD scored against Houston in 2 games last year.
- Eli Manning– I might regret this, Eli is known for getting me, but Carolina’s secondary is solid and their run defense is porous, more runs less throws for the G-Men.
- Michael Turner– You might very well have a better back-up than MT against the Steelers defense. Take a look, because Turner won’t do much on Sunday.
***First Week! Opening Day! Fantasy Week 1! Yahooooo!!! Here are OUR picks!***
Below are our projections for Week 1. Every week we tally up the total rankings amongst each position and the lowest totals take that position. For example, if I pick the Top 5 running backs on Sunday, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – then my total score for RBs will be 15, and I will have won. Unless one of the other guys also picked the Top 5 and their #1 guy was ranked higher than mine. Make sense? Fair enough – here goes Week 1.

Fantasy Focus: Week 17 Fantasy Football Rankings
January 2, 2010 by luckylester · Leave a Comment
If your into Week 17, you’re in the finals and your league is crazy for doing Week 17 finals – but there’s some hope! A- you likely are partaking in the winnings no matter what, and B- despite you having some guys that won’t be worth suiting up despite being awesome, I have a handful of guys ready to rock to the top spot despite low rankings. For the glory!!!
Elite Starters: Guys picked early that I love this week…
1. Ray Rice – The Raiders can’t handle the run and the Ravens need a win to get into the playoffs. Here, Ray, run…
2. Chris Johnson– He’s going for 2000 yards on the season, and the all-time single season yards from scrimmage deal. And all this against the Hawks. You bet!
3. Jonathan Stewart – The Saints will end up resting guys and J-Stew will end up rocking the yardage.
4. Jay Cutler – Will the Bears let up and lose this week? I don’t think so, but either way, passing yards on they way!
5. Miles Austin– Tony has been throwing it great, and Miles has speed, great hands and his QB’s trust.
Solid Starters: Guys picked in middle rounds that should outplay their ranking/draft position this week…
1. DeSean Jackson –The Cowboys’ worst nightmare, always a cut away from a long touchdown.
2. Carnell Williams– Caddy will come to play on Sunday, making it through a full season is reason to blow up!
3. Santonio Holmes – Like his teammate at WR, these two guys should do work in Miami.
4. Hines Ward – Should be good against the Dolphins leaky secondary.
5. Sydney Rice – The Giants secondary has been brutal, and Rice has been Favre’s go-to-guy.
Sleeper Starters: Guys ranked low, drafted low or not at all, but I still like them this week…
1. Jerome Harrison –No reason to jump off his back, he’s been doing work for me!
2. Matt Forte – Almost a forgotten man, Forte should have a solid day against the Lions.
3. Arian Foster– Sure, he’s going up against a decent Patriots defensive front, but how long will they keep their starters in?
4. Quentin Ganther– Tough to want to start him after last week’s poo-pile, but I think he will be solid.
5. Devin Aromashadu– The kid has legit speed, and he goes to get the ball. Better yet, Jay likes to throw it to him.
Super Sleepers for Playoff Push…
1. Donald Brown – I think the rookie will get the lion’s share of the carries, good thing he’s playing Buffalo.
2. Sammy Morris – He seems to be the guy New England will use on Sunday – and he can pound away at yardage.
3. Shonn Greene –I see Greene taking over for Thomas Jones when the game is in the Jets’ hands, and that could be good.
4. Greg Camarillo – Should be good for at least 12 fantasy points this week vs. Pittsburgh.
Sit ‘Em Son: I don’t care where they were drafted, I don’t like these guys starting this week…
1. Colts Starters– I’d be scared to start all the following starters for their teams, and I’m starting Tom Brady in one league despite my better judgment in not trusting Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
2. Patriots Starters–
3. Bengals Starters –
4. Saints Starters –
5. Packers Starters–
***Last week of the year, you might as well go down swinging!!! Good work to get this far!***
