Ode to Dwayne Wade

Ode to Dwayne Wade

Thank you, Dwayne. You made us forget about the billions of dollars that are given to those 15 minutes per game youngsters, drafts that pick untested high schoolers over "ACC Players of the Year" like Josh Howard, and the ridiculous labor negotiations that insist on a lockout. You made us ignore the boring Spurs who took it to the exciting Steve Nash driven Suns, and forced us to feast our eyes on your heroics and aerial acrobatics.

Thank you for giving us a playoff performance we haven't seen since Mike last laced em up for the Chicago Bulls. Thank you for pulling up your pants and lacing up your shoes to play a game seven we won't soon forget. You were the MVP of the playoffs as far as I was concerned. If I wasn't sure about that before this series started, I'm as sure as sun is going to rise tomorrow, am now. Click here for the full article.

2005 NBA Mock Draft

Let me ask you this, now that the summer weather has started does it seem to take even longer for the NFL season to start? For me it does. I sit here waiting, rereading old news stories as I wait for the season to begin.

To help speed the wait I, like so many others, turn to other sports to fill the gap. Normally after the football season ends I usually have hockey to watch but not this year. I wonder if I will take it up next year even if the fools who run this sports get their shit together long enough to play anther season.

Of course after the hockey ends I get a bit of a basketball fix, usually the NBA playoffs can take some of the presure off for a while. This year with no hockey playoffs to turn too I watched more basketball and because of this I thought I would give a try on putting together a mock draft for the NBA draft.
