New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys Sunday Night Football Pick: The Sunday Night game should be a blast! These teams are real close atop an NFC East that was supposed to be one of the best divisions in football – but right now it’s looking like a strong possibility that a 9-7 team could pull out this divisional title. In fact, if the Cowboys win this game, and just one of their last three, it’s almost a sure thing that they take the NFC East. If the Giants win the game then no team in the division is better than 7-6 headed into Week 15. Crazy. With the schedules these teams have over the final weeks, I don’t see anybody winning out. I’m telling you, 9-7 NFC East Champs is a very good possibility.

The Giants and Cowboys haven’t played yet this year, which means they go at it twice in the last 4 weeks, something that should make this divisional race a lot of fun to follow. The Giants put up one heck of a fight last week against Green Bay, fighting back to tie it with just under a minute left before Aaron Rodgers happened. So, at least we know they have it in them. That being said, this Giants team started the season 2-2 and they are now 6-6: easy math tells you they’ve lost 4 straight. And it hasn’t even been the normal late season collapse from Eli – he’s been great. They just haven’t found a way, losing to the Vince Young led Eagles certainly didn’t help, but they’ve had a very tough schedule, dropping games to the Pats, 49ers, and Packers during that losing streak.

The Cowboys have troubles of their own, though at 7-5 they are in 1st place in the NFC East. I know Romo and the Cowboys haven’t been great in December, and he doesn’t get much love this time of year – but he’s one of the better quarterbacks in the league and I think he proves in on a big stage this Sunday Night. I think the Cowboys have a much better defense than the Giants, and New York’s secondary might get lit up by Romo and his receivers.

I expect a close one, but the Cowboys giving just a field goal at home against a lesser team seems like an auto pick.
