Philadelphia Eagles (+3) @ Miami Dolphins
I don’t know what I’m doing, but it has something to do with tempting all the numbers that tell me to go the other way. The Dolphins have been lights out of late, and have really played well for quite some time. They have a solid rushing attack right now with Reggie Bush doing work and Daniel Thomas getting back in the action – plus, Matt Moore is playing like the kid that won a bunch of games for the Panthers a few years ago. Him and Brandon Marshall are connecting, and the Eagles defense is crippled. Still, I just think Vick being back gets the Eagles reenergized and they find a way to win in Miami now that their season is basically over.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars
I hate watching Blaine Gabbert throw off his back foot, freak out when there’s no pressure, throw balls too early and too late but never on time, and generally look like a failure at quarterback. It’s hard, because I love MJD, he is a beast. I think Tampa has a bit of an offensive explosion in this one – and Jacksonville wont’ be able to keep up.
New England Patriots @ Washington Redskins (+9)
I think Rex Grossman has the ability to put points on the board when defenses don’t make him pay for his mistakes. The Patriots don’t pose enough of a threat up front or in the secondary to fully take advantage of Rexisms, so I think the former Florida Gator keeps it close on Sunday in DC.
