Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football Free Pick: The Bears are getting a lot of points against an Eagles team that has played one single complete game all season long. Philly could have flipped the switch, it’s possible, but even then, the Bears have a pretty solid rushing attack behind Matt Forte, and last time I checked, the Eagles still haven’t been able to stop the run. Even last week when they destroyed the Cowgirls, it wasn’t because they shut down the run, it was because Dallas was stupid and didn’t run the ball down Philly’s throat. In his few carries, rookie Demarco Murray cut into the Eagles pretty good. My guess is that Chicago won’t be so inept and they’ll be giving Forte the ball at least every other play.

That is going to hurt the Eagles a bit, because it will keep their explosive offense off the field, and it’ll put pressure on Philly to commit more to the box. I know that baiting Jay Culter into throwing passes into a secondary of Asante Samuel and Nnamdi Asomugha seems like a good idea, but even those two guys might have trouble if the Eagles have too many cats in the box.

The Eagles are definitely coming off their best game of the season, but Chicago isn’t a team you give 8 points to and just trounce on Monday Night Football. That’s a football team that finds ugly ways to win, and plays a lot of close games. MNF brings out the best in guys, I think this one will be a close ball game in Philly.
