Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers Free Sunday Night Football Pick

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers Free Sunday Night Football Pick: Pittsburgh is on a role headed into their second game of the season against Baltimore. I usually like to take the team that lost the first time around in a re-match game pitting two very good rival teams against each other. The fact that Ben Roethlisberger usually beats the Ravens is just one more reason to like Pittsburgh giving just a field goal at home against Baltimore. Lots of things working my way in this one, including the direction these two teams have been moving lately.

Baltimore’s still a very good team, no doubt, but what is going on with them offensively. They can get absolutely no consistency from an offense that is fairly talented. Joe Flacco and Ray Rice and Anquan Boldin form a nice little trip of playmakers, and that offensive line is pretty talented. Flacco just hasn’t been as accurate as he should be, and they seem to find ways to get off the field – not a good thing for an offense.

Pittsburgh’s defense is playing better, and there’s no chance they overlook the Ravens after beating the Patriots last week. Often big wins are followed by let downs, but look for that next week, not this week against the Steelers’ biggest rival. Pittsburgh is playing better, needs to even up the series, and runs into Baltimore when the Ravens are by no means playing their best football. The squeaked one out last week after getting beat by a low-end Jaguar team two weeks ago. Take the streaking Steelers.
