Pittsburgh Steelers VS Houston Texans: NFL Free Pick

Pittsburgh Steelers VS Houston Texans – NFL Free Pick: This is another one of those picks where the old me thinks the new me is straight nuts – but it makes sense, listen closely. You can’t just bet on a team because they are from a city, from a tradition, from a history where they just play dominant football and out-tough everyone and win on the road, and compete for Super Bowls every dang year. Eventually, that dream slows down, and you have to look into the future a little bit, or into the now I guess, and find out what kind of team that old dominant team is. The Steelers are always solid and they will put up a fight anywhere, anytime, because they have guys like Troy Polamalu and James Harrison (among other beastie cats that hit like a ton of glacier smacking the Titanic).
But the deal here is, the Texans are better. That’s right folks, those stinky Texans that always trick everyone into saying they are going to breakthrough – well, they are breaking through. They have Andre Johnson, who not one Steeler can even think about guarding – Matt Schaub – who is going to come out slinging against the Steelers secondary – and a running back tandem of Arian Foster (who is said to be full healthy) and Ben Tate (who has run for 300 yards+ over the first 3 weeks).
Defensively, they hold it down with guys like Super Mario and Dunta – that’s video game business right there, folks. I have to believe what I see through three weeks, and that’s a better team playing at home giving just a few points.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans (-3.5)
