Indianapolis Colts @ New Orleans Saints Sunday Night Football Pick

Indianapolis Colts @ New Orleans Saints Sunday Night Football Pick: The New Orleans Saints have been solid, if not great, so far this season. They are just 4-2, but have given themselves a chance to win every game, and done a good wining some close ones thus far. Still, they’ve played lots of close games to take them against a Colts team that has played tougher of late. Two touchdowns plus is a lot, and I’m taking the big dog despite the poor season big dogs have had thus far.

Indianapolis is winless and while they aren’t even half the team they are with Peyton Manning running the show, they are better than winless. Indy has had some chances over the last few weeks, losing a pretty hard nosed close football game at Cincinnati last week, losing a big lead and the game to Kansas City the week before, and dropping a game at Tampa Bay by just a late touchdown – plus, four games ago they lost by a stinking field goal against Pittsburgh. Maybe, just maybe, the Colts aren’t as terrible as everyone thinks, not as terrible as 0-6 looks, that’s for sure.

I just have a feeling that the Saints and their comfort in playing close football games will keep this one close. A couple explosive plays from Pierre Garcon or Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark could keep the Colts right in it – don’t forget that this team has won a lot of football games, so they know how to win.
