Free Week 7 2011 Football Point Spread Predictions
October 23, 2011 by luckylester
Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders (-3.5)
The Oakland Raiders probably won’t have Carson Palmer tossing footballs for them quite yet, maybe another tough reason to pay 2 1st round picks (possibly) for the 31 year old read headed gun slinger. Then again, I don’t think they’ll need them. Maybe their defense will step up and make life tough on Matt Cassel, and give Kyle a simple duty of handing the ball of 35 times to a double team of McFadden and Michael Bush. I actually believe that will be the case, a smash mouth Raider football game, winning easily at home.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5) @ Arizona Cardinals
I think the Steelers will put up a bunch of points against the Cardinals. Pittsburgh can really take advantage of Arizona’s sloppy secondary and throw the ball around a little bit, especially if the Cardinals have to pay attention to the Steelers’ rushing attack. Big Ben didn’t throw it much last week, but I think he takes some chances this week. Mike Wallace is legit, I expect a big game from the big play wide receiver.
St. Louis Rams @ Dallas Cowboys (-12)
The Rams, I’d totally take them with Sam Bradford running the show. But with A.J. Feely and a blitz-happy Cowboys team always throwing odd fronts up there for opposing QBs to deal with? It’s hard for me to expect the Rams to put up much of a fight. The Cowboys haven’t impressed thus far, but they’re still in it, a talented football team, one that should win easily on Sunday.
Green Bay Packers (-8.5) @ Minnesota Vikings
Christian Ponder leading the Vikings for the first time against the very best team in football? Hmm…. I don’t like the Vikings’ chances – call me nuts. Ponder showed me some athlete I didn’t know he had in him, but I don’t think that’s enough to oust the Packers.
