Boise State Broncos @ Fresno State Bulldogs: Friday Night Football Pick

It’s hard for me to bet against the Broncos, they’ve just been so good at covering ridiculous spreads over the years, that, unless something’s crazy, I just pick them and feel pretty confident about collecting winnings. How good have them been? Wicked good. Well they’re 21-7 ATS over their last 28 road games. They were 9-4 ATS last season. They were 9-5 ATS in 2009-2010. They were 8-3-1 the year before that. We can go farther back if you want, but I’m not trying to write up a history lesson – I’m saying the Broncos are one of if not the best coached teams in the country – they are talented, they play well on short notice.

Boise was up 30-0 last week and allowed a small comeback to rip a victory out of my hands. But I still believe they are one of the best teams in college football and Fresno State lost to Cal 36-21… 20 points seems easy enough, even though Fresno has a history of being a tough out. Boise’s too tough.

Boise is a lot closer to Oregon than anybody would like to think – both teams use speed all over the field and outmatch people with their schemes and toughness everywhere on the field. I’ve yet to find a reason to bet against Boise, so I’m taking them to win on Friday Night – I’m predicting a 48-17 score.
