Arizona State Sun Devils @ Oregon Ducks – Free Pac 12 Football Pick: The Sun Devils have been pretty solid all season, but even better late. They had some trouble with Missouri, as they needed overtime to win at home. They  lost a tough one on the road at Illinois 17-14 in a game where they outgained the Illini by over 100 yards, but just couldn’t translate it into points. Since then they’ve spanked 3 Pac 12 teams, nearly doubling up USC 43-22, beating Oregon State by 15, and walking all over the Utes in Utah, 35-14. Yes, as I said, lately they’ve been pretty good – but, and this is a big but, USC isn’t that good, and Utah’s worse than USC, and Oregon State is the bottom of the bunch, maybe the worst team in the Pac 12 altogether. So, despite kicking opponents around in the last few weeks, it’s tough to project that kind of play against Oregon, in Oregon, where the Ducks wallop opponents.

Oregon is one of the best football programs in the Nation, despite getting beat up to start the season at LSU. Since then, they’ve destroyed just about everything they’ve seen, running all over opponents, even dropping 69 points on Nevada. They’ve covered 3 of their last 4 games and sit atop the Pac 12 with no team really posing a threat to their crown… Maybe Arizona State…

That’s what the masses think, anyway, but I don’t quite see it like that. Playing good against bad teams is one thing, coming in and playing great in Oregon is another. So I’m not a believer yet, and I expect Oregon to do what they do to just about every team they play, score fast, score often, and make a couple big plays on defense that wraps the game up. The Ducks may be without the best running back in college football, but their back-up is probably a Top 10 RB in the nation, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that one!
