Arkansas Razorbacks (+12.5) @ Alabama Crimson Tide
I know that Alabama has a plethora of super talented players, but every time I seen them play this year I just can’t see them as a Top 5 school. For the first time this year, they are getting a Top 5 spread, and quite honestly, I don’t think they can cover it. Arkansas isn’t a great football team, but they are good enough to be a good solid bet when getting double digit points.
Alabama has a very good defense, but their secondary isn’t elite and their offense isn’t elite in any one area – they don’t have a great area to lean on even thought many would suggest the run game to be just that. Arkansas will gang up on the run, then what? Plus, that run game isn’t as good as you think.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (+4) @ Texas A&M Aggies
When it comes right down to the nitty gritty, I just flat out think Oklahoma State is the better football team, but this is a great match-up! A&M’s defense is better, but I’m not sure there’s a better offense than what Oklahoma State is putting out there right now. The Cowboys are dropping just over 52 points per game through their first 3 contests, not once scoring less than 37.
I also think OK State has been more tested in the early going as A&M hasn’t played anybody worth mentioning through the first couple weeks. This game has been a shootout the last couple years, and close – OK State winning by 3 last season and 5 in 2009. It should be wild!
LSU Tigers (-5.5) @ West Virginia Mountaineers
I can’t believe this line. LSU doesn’t have a great offense but it will surprise me if West Virginia can score more than 10 points against the Tigers. Look for LSU to cover this one easily.
