It’s super high, you see, 60.5 is a lot of points, but this game should finish above 70 – both teams score enough on average to get there half easily and when you see neither team playing a lick of defense – you should get even more excited. Both teams are 2-1 and have lost to the only good college football team that they’ve faced. In fact, I’d argue that Tennesse and Wake Forrest are mediocre at best, and NC State gave up 34 points to the Demon Deacons while Cincinnati allowed Tennessee to drop 45 on them. Over, over, over and out.

What I see from Cincinnati is a kid in Zach Collaros that wins football games, and that’s what easily gives Cinci the nod in my book. They’ve outrushed all three opponents they’ve played so far, while NC State really hasn’t shown the ability to stop the run at all – to stop anything for that matter.

The Bearcats don’t have a strong secondary as Tennessee showed when they out-passed the Bearcats by 175 yards, but I just don’t think the Wolfpack will be able to take advantage of that hole in the defense – they don’t pass very well.

The fact that the game is on a Thursday night in Cincinnati is just one more reason to take the Bearcats. The 7 points seems like a lot, but they should cover that easily.
