New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills Free Football Picks

New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills Free Football Picks: The Bills are 2-0… Don’t double check my numbers to see if I’m right, I’m telling you, promising you, the Bills have played just two football games in 2011 and they have won them both. The first game was an absolute destruction of Kansas City – a game that started the domino effect that has basically taken the Chiefs off the pro-football map, placing them right next to Seattle in a pile of football innards. The Bills have been brilliant offensively despite barely using last year’s first round pick, C.J. Spiller – which continues to make that draft pick an interesting one in my mind.

But that’s another story – the truth of the matter is, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tom Brady have the same number of touchdown passes, 7, and interceptions, 1 – and both teams have really put points on the board to start the season – though Buffalo is averaging 3 points more per game while giving up 1.5 points less.

But averaging smaveraging and points shmoints – the Bills have played two relatively inept football teams to start the season while New England has ended up on the right side of both Miami and San Diego – two teams I see winning a good amount of games this season. That being said, the Patriots haven’t been nearly as impressive defensively as their points-against shows – they’ve been much worse. They just make plays in the red-zone, limiting opponents to field goals often. The Chargers spent much of the game in Patriot’s territory but couldn’t punch it end. If they continue to allow those kind of yardage totals, they’ll lose a handful of games this season.

All things considered, I like New England because they haven’t played up to potential yet and they’ve still won and covered easily in both their games, seemingly untested down the stretch in either football game. Fitzpatrick will throw a couple picks this week, he’s due. The Patriots will step up their run-D, they’re good enough to shut down the Bills’ rushing attack, even though Chan Gailey is a genius in that department.
