Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Auburn Tigers NCAA Football Prediction

Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Auburn Tigers NCAA Football Prediction: This is a tough one – I really liked the Bulldogs but I sure didn’t think it was going to be 6.5 points. That’s an awful lot, I mean I know Auburn didn’t play that well last week, as they were terrible defensively and looked outmatched for most of their game against the all powerful Utah State squad, but they have to be better than that, right? This team won the National Championship last year and that couldn’t all be on Cam Newton’s shoulders, right? Well, Auburn lost a lot to the NFL, their best offensive player, their best defensive player, and more players that we don’t know as much about. They still have talent, but even before Week 1’s debacle, I was excited to take the Bulldogs in this match-up.

The points are a little much, and so the value is minimal – but in college ball if I think a team is going to win, I’ll pick them as a touchdown favorite and just hope it works out – that’s the case this week with the Bulldogs headed to Auburn.

Chris Relf has been very solid for Mississippi State when getting the start, and with a team that runs the ball as well as they do, with as man weapons as they have, I like Relf’s stability at QB. He doesn’t make big mistakes, he keeps drives alive, and he keeps his offense on the field. That will give them this game.
