Miami Dolphins @ Cleveland Browns NFL Free Pick Week 3 2011

Miami Dolphins @ Cleveland Browns NFL Free Pick Week 3 2011: I think the Browns just aren’t very good – they tried to fool me in the preseason with their precision passing attack and solid run-game, but right now they just look like a low-level team without enough talent on the offensive side of the ball to keep defenses honest. Sure, they have Peyton Hillis who is one of the biggest beasts the running back position has seen in some time, but outside of that they are a pretty dull bunch on that side of the ball. In fact, they’ve been outrushed in each of their first two games, and it’s not like Cincinnati and Indianapolis are dynamic rushing offenses (or dynamic anything for that matter). The Browns, amazingly, have been outrushed in each of their last 6 football games. Maybe it’s because they run that disgusting Mike Holmgren style offense where everything happens within 12 yards of the line of scrimmage, or maybe it’s because defenses don’t respect their pass – or probably both – but I know that stat is no good – the fact that they’re 1-5 in those last 6 games isn’t so good, either…

Miami is 0-2, but they’re looking solid, primed up for a win, in my opinion. Daniel Thomas ran well against a pretty solid run defense last week against Houston – with him and Reggie Bush working out of the backfield, they could give the Browns some trouble on the ground.

That being said, I think the Dolphins test the Browns secondary early and often – Cleveland has a pretty solid back-line, but the Dolphins’ spread system could give them some trouble. I like a road win for Miami this week.
