Arizona Wildcats @ Oklahoma State Cowboys Thursday Night Football Pick

Arizona Wildcats @ Oklahoma State Cowboys Thursday Night Football Pick: The Pac 10 just doesn’t get any love, let’s call it what it is. Now that it’s the Pac 12, the conference might get a little more respect, but obviously they aren’t knocking anybody’s socks off because one of the better teams in the Pac 12, the Wildcats, are getting more than 2 touchdowns on a Thursday Night game. Everyone knows underdogs have a good chance to make a game of it mid-week.

Brandon Weeden of Oklahoma State gets a lot of love out there, even though he’s less accurate, younger, and throws more interceptions than Nick Foles of Arizona. Oklahoma State can score the football, no doubt, but Arizona can do it also. State’s defense isn’t very tough, and thus I see no reason to go away from my gut and take the road team in this one.

I know the Wildcats are young and the Cowboys are supposed to have a solid season – but mistakes catch up to you against well coached teams, and I truly believe that the Cowboys take too many chances while the Cardinals have been taught well on how to capitalize.

Arizona may be a little bit young in some spots, but half their starting line-up is full of seniors. That makes them a senior-laden bunch. That usually means good things, and it’s tough to bet against “usually” this early in the season.
