Denver Nuggets @ Dallas Mavericks NBA Free Basketball Pick

Denver Nuggets @ Dallas Mavericks NBA Free Basketball Pick: The Nuggets play in Dallas tonight to start off my week of free picks. Denver has played very well since the ‘Melo trade, and it makes plenty of sense. They received four starting caliber players and gave away two. These new guys are young and hungry to prove their worth, and the team has really embraced them within their new sharing style of play. I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times by now, but they definitely play more like a college team, moving the ball, rarely holding it without player movement, kick out passes, high percentage looks.

The Nuggets have really improved defensively, and with players resting (word on the street is that Jason Kidd might rest a few games down the stretch), and the Mavericks not playing very well (3 losses in a row heading into Wednesday’s game), this one could go the way of the Nuggets.

Not that it’s all about numbers, but the Nuggets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. This team is playing tough, everywhere. This game is currently unlisted at every book I know of, but I’m guessing Dallas will be favored by 2-3 points.

I like the Nuggets over just about everyone in the league right now with the season finishing – they seem to be playing harder than anyone else, and as the season wears down, they have enough depth to keep bringing it every night. It doesn’t hurt that Dallas hasn’t won a game against a team with a winning record since they beat Philadelphia on March 1st. Seriously. I like the Nuggets by 6-10 points.
