Oklahoma Thunder @ Miami Heat NBA Prediction: The Heat have turned it around, and now everyone can either get right back on their bandwagon or shower the bars and office space conversations with “I knew they’d start beating everyone.” Perfect. The Heat have overtaken the Yankess for most annoying fans and anti-fans – shoot, I don’t even think it’s close. Here’s the bottom line, they are real good because they have 2 of the best players ever on their team. Yes, LeBron is certainly that good, and everyone with a brain for hoops knows it. But Wade is also one of the best that’s ever played, a scoring machine that is often unstoppable. BUT, they might not be the best TEAM in basketball. And while I don’t favor them to win it all (Here’s to you, Bulls and Lakers), they certainly have a good shot. Nobody can match up with those two superhumans.

But can the Thunder show their growth as a team? This is just a single game in the NBA regular season, and anything can happen, but I don’t know if the Heat would be guaranteed anything against Oklahoma in a best of 7. They sure have a lot of pieces right now, especially with James Harden playing so well and Kendrick Perkins healthy and holding down the middle. Kevin Durant is all kinds of awesome, and Russell Westbrook gives every defense in the league fits, but Miami will have an especially tough time with him considering their struggles against quick, penetrating point guards.

I’m not betting the Heat to lose here, I just think it will be close. The Thunder are a great young team, and that type of squad will always find a way to step it up in situations like this. Westbrook is worth more than that 7-point spread insists – I’ll take Oklahoma and the points.
