Belmont Bruins @ Wisconsin Badgers March Madness Tournament Pick

Belmont Bruins @ Wisconsin Badgers March Madness Tournament Pick: The new cool thing to do is pick a 12-seed to beat a 4-seed, and with Belmont walking in to this game with 30 wins and Wisconsin coming in losing their last 2 games, a 28 point drubbing at the hands of Ohio State (payback for Wisconsin handing OSU their first loss of the season earlier in conference play?) and a loss to Penn State where they scored just 33 points (though they still only lost by 3 to a solid Nittany Lions team) – well, everybody seems to love the Bruins in this one.

But I don’t see why. Wisconsin has everything you need to have success in the tournament. They have solid bigs, a guard that can really score the basketball, and a good defensive team. They may have struggled down the stretch, but they beat Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan State in their last 10 games. Something tells me they’ll be fine.

Belmont is solid, you have to be to win 30 games, but they’ve really beaten anybody worth getting excited about – they’ve played some close games against solid teams, losing to Tennessee by 9 and 1 earlier this season, losing to Vanderbilt by 9 as well. They have a chance, it’s just not a good one, not good enough to bet them.
