Kentucky Wildcats @ Florida Gators Free NCAA Basketball Pick

Kentucky Wildcats @ Florida Gators Free NCAA Basketball Pick: The Kentucky Wildcats have lost 2 games to unranked opponents in their last 7 games. They haven’t played a ranked opponent since they beat the Louisville Cardinals in convincing fashion back on December 31st. In their 4 January wins, only the Georgia game was close – when they win, they usually do it big. The Gators will be a test for the Wildcats, however, especially down in Florida. Florida also has recent losses to unranked opponents, South Carolina and Mississippi State – but overtime wins over Tennessee, Georgia, and #24 Vanderbilt have them primed to challenge the Wildcats.

The Gators have stepped it up lately, playing their best basketball against their best opponents. They are 8-2 over their last 10 games, but just 5-5 ATS. In three of those games, the Gators cam in as an underdog, and in all three they ended up winning.

Florida is 10-3 at home while the Wildcats are just 3-4 away from Kentucky. It’s been a battle to get a read on either of these SEC teams. At times the Wildcats have shown the can beat anyone in the Nation, slipping by Washington early and going to Louisville to trounce the Cardinals 78-63 – but they also struggle to put teams away lately.

Despite their struggles away from home, and their current losses to unranked foes Ole Miss and Alabama, I have to go with the better team here. Kentucky is loaded with talent, and they should beat the Florida’s of the world, even playing on the road. A big game from Terrence Jones does the trick in this one!

#11 Kentucky Wildcats (-1.5) @ #23 Florida Gators (2/5)
