Texas Longhorns @ Kansas Jayhawks College Basketball Prediction

Texas Longhorns @ Kansas Jayhawks College Basketball Prediction: I’m all for the Jayhawks getting beat, and I see them being an undefeated team with some flaws, which means they’ll go down soon. Texas could be that team to get Kansas, but the Longhorns haven’t impressed me too much. They’ve had some tight wins against some mediocre teams (beat Rice by 3, beat North Carolina by 2) and the ranked teams they’ve beaten (Michigan State, Illinois) aren’t the best of the best. I think Kansas will give them plenty of trouble on Saturday.
Texas has won 9 of 10 coming in and while that might not be as impressive as Kansas (currently undefeated), it’s still pretty good. The last three games have been all Texas, winning by at least 20 points in three straight against the likes of Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Their only loss in the last 10, Kemba Walker. Texas is averaging 78.2 points per game while giving up 61.3.
That +17 mark is almost as good as Kansas’s +22, as the Jayhawks average 83.2 per contest while giving up just a hair over 61. Texas is 15-3 but a strong 10-3 ATS. Kansas is 18-0, but just 8-8 ATS on the season.
Kansas has beaten Texas in each of the last 3 and 6 of the last 7 games. This will be a good one, definitely, the Longhorns don’t get blown out much and the Jayhawks rarely lose at home.
The bottom line is, the Jayhawks are undefeated and the Longhorns are a pretty solid team. I’ll take the dogs getting close to giving the Jayhawks their first loss of the season. Everybody plays up against an undefeated opponent.
#11 Texas Longhorns (+7) @ #2 Kansas Jayhawks (1/22) (CBS)
