Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys Free NFL Football Pick

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys Free NFL Football Pick: Let’s play a little game I like to call “Name Which Categories the Redskins Rank Behind (at least) 25 other Teams in the NFL” – this game is fun, and including all major categories you have better than a 50% chance to be right. Ain’t nothing wrong with that! Ready… You were right if you went with; Rushing Yards (26th) or Points Scored (27th) or Field Goal Percentage (32nd) or Total Yards Allowed (32nd) or Rushing Yards Allowed (28th) or Passing Yards Allowed (29th) or Coaches with the least-red face (32nd or 31st depending on what you think about Tom Couglin). To say Mike Shanahan’s first year in Washington has been rocky is an understatement – but he’ll turn it around, right? Right?

Not this year, Splinter, you’ll have to draft new Ninja Turtles and train them the way of the ninja – or run blocking, or stopping the run – anything but skipping training camp and eating pizza. But they suspended Albert Haynesworth already and I’m sure that big self-absorbed numskull won’t have to worry about the “haters” in Washington too much longer. The problem with the Redskins is they don’t do anything well. They can’t really hang their hat on anything. They’ve been able to pass it a little bit, but that’s because they are down by so many early that they have no choice. They rank 10th in that category, and could take advantage of a Dallas team that gives up big plays through the air – but I just can’t get behind it.

If Jason Garrett really wants the Dallas head job, he’s going to have to win games like this one. So far, since JG took over, the Cowboys have done everything a little bit better, but more importantly, they haven’t lost to any bad teams. They’ve beaten the Giants, Lions, and Colts – losing to Philadelphia and New Orleans (by a field goal per game). They haven’t played many bad teams, but they’ haven’t lost to anybody they shouldn’t. The Redskins are someone they absolutely shouldn’t lose to. They won’t.
