Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs Free Football Picks

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs Free Football Picks: Oh this one is a toughy, but I have to stick to my guns and look at the way these two teams have played in different situations this season.

The Titans have been up and down, and the dips have been more noticeable than the mountains – aka, more downs than ups. The Titans are 6-8 but they’re coming off their first win in 7 games. That means a couple things, yes, they lost 6 games in a row, and yes they must have been 5-2 at one point this season, and yes, stuff is getting crazy in Tennessee these days. They haven’t really run the ball with solid efficiency all year long, as holes have been tough for CJ to come by with defenses locked in on stopping the speedster. Defensively, they’ve been giving up bunches of yards, getting out-gained in all 6 of those games they lost. The quarterback situation has gotten a little hairy with Vince Young injuries, and Jeff Fischer’s lack of trust in the big Texas Longhorn. But that’s talk for the off-season, and this season is what matters now. Can the Titans stop the Chiefs running game? Probably not. Can the Chiefs slow the Titans rushing attack? Probably. Who throws the ball better? Kansas City. Which team is better? Kansas City – so it’s a given, right? Yes, but the biggest reason has yet to come.

The Titans aren’t bad on the road, 3-3, but they aren’t as good as the Chiefs at home – 6-0. Yes, one of the best home-field advantages in sports has continue to show itself this season. The Chiefs have played great ball at home, and I think they continue that this week in a must-win game for them. They don’t want to let San Diego slip in, and this win would keep them on top in the AFC West.
