San Diego Chargers @ Cincinnati Bengals Point Spread Pick: Lets’ go over the Bengals future/current season right now. Chad Ochocinco is probably out after this year, yet he’s still causing a ruckus inside the locker room. Terrell Owens had a great season, but is still TO, and will still be finding a new place to work next season. Oh, and he’s on IR. Carson Palmer has been a liability for much of the season, and nobody knows what his future holds either. The Bengals are 3-11 a year after winning the toughest division in football. Marvin Lewis is probably out as the head coach, making him a dead end coach. That might explain why this team has struggled so much this season. Without any assurance about the future (as false as it may be at times) teams rarely play up to their potential. The Bengals have done everything worse this year, or at least with less efficiency. Running, throwing, defensively – it’s been a struggle.

San Diego my be running out of “comeback” time but right now they are still in it, and since they do everything in football better and more consistently than the Bengals, I expect them to get win number 9 this week on the road. The fact that they are favored by a touchdown on the road, and how they are 2-4 on the road this season, might make them a questionable value pick here – but they just play different down the stretch, and with how much this game means to them, and how little the season means to the Bengals, it’s hard to see going any other way, here. So I won’t try to find the shadow in the dark, I’ll just take the Chargers and wait for the Bengal meltdown right in the middle of the 2nd quarter.
