Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys Sunday Night Football Pick

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys Sunday Night Football Pick: The usually gutless Cowboys have played inspired football since Jason Garrett took over as the head man, and for that I give them the credit of putting up some points against the Eagles this Sunday Night. But putting up points and beating (or sticking within a field goal of) the Eagles seems unlikely. Even against a Cowboys defense that has always faired well against the Eagles’ track-team receivers, this season’s Philly squad just looks too explosive for the Cowboys – and Mike Vick replacing Donovan McNabb means quicker decisions and more big plays, on the ground and through the air. I think the Eagles win by double digits.
The Eagles will be without Asante Samuel, and since he went down in Week 10, the Eagles have given up 31 and 24 points respectively. Opposing receivers have hurt the Eagles, but even more so the team seems to be dropping more defensive players in coverage to make up for Asante’s absence, and opposing rushing attacks have been effective.
The Cowboys will be without rookie wideout Dez Bryant. Dez has been a big part of the passing game this season, and had basically taken over for Roy Williams Jr. – Roy is no slouch, but he’s not as explosive as Bryant, and the Cowboys will need big plays to beat the Eagles.
In the end, I think the Cowboys come back to reality a little bit here, and the Eagles are ready to play great football for the first time in weeks.
