Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers NFL Week 13 Betting Tips

Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers NFL Week 13 Betting Tips: I hate taking the sporadic Chargers to cover a spread approaching two touchdowns, but with the way the Raiders are running, and the way the Chargers get to opposing quarterbacks, the way their secondary makes everything tough – I don’t know how I can choose Oakland here. 12.5, 13 points – that’s a lot in the NFL, and remember, just a game separates these two teams in the AFC West.

I’m not always a “what have you done for me lately” guy when I’m looking at weekly NFL match-ups, but shoot, Oakland, what have you done for me lately? The Raiders were greatly outplayed by both the Steelers and Dolphins. Aside from beating the Chargers earlier in the season (and lets be honest, the Raiders were nearly out-produced 2-1 from an offense standpoint – 279-506 total yards), Oakland has found most of their wins inside the NFC West – a challenging division – or challenged, I guess. Oakland’s only other win over a team with a winning record was their OT win at home against Kansas City. But like I said, it’s not what they’ve done this season – the Raiders have played tough throughout the year – it’s of late that worries me, especially with them being a team well taught in the ways of losing over the last handful of years.

San Diego lost once to their in-state rival already, and I just can’t see it happening again – good teams don’t get doubled up by mediocre opponents – especially when the numbers say they should have won the first game. If they tighten up that special teams unit, they take this one easily.
