Oakland Raiders @ Jacksonville Jaguars Point Spread Pick

Oakland Raiders @ Jacksonville Jaguars Point Spread Pick: If you’ve paid much attention, it’s hard for me to believe in the Jaguars. I just feel like one of these days they’re going to throw the ball 30 times and give MJD 13 carries, all the while being down by just a touchdown or 10 points, and because of that they are going to lose. I hate taking them as a favorite over just about everybody, because they are hardly favorites. Yes, I understand that they’ve run off a nice five game clip where they have won 4 games – and I know their only loss came to a tough New York Giants squad – but these are the Jaguars we’re talking about, right? And the Jaguars are going to do something like lose a home game to the Raiders and blow that AFC South lead they’ve built… These crazy Jaguars.
So far they haven’t slipped, but I’m sure it’ll happen. If it doesn’t and if MJD has more rushes than Garrard has passes, I’ll probably lose this game – but the Raiders are tough enough to keep it close. They can really run the ball on any defense that isn’t great, and while Jacksonville has stopped the run better of late, they are far from great.
This game has already dropped a point despite, down to 4 at just about every book. The Raiders play close games and the Jaguars aren’t good enough to blow anybody out. I don’t know how much Campbell can hurt the Jags’ shaky secondary, but I do know that McFadden and Michael Bush pose a pretty good 1-2 punch and that should be enough.
