NFL Week 15 Picks Kansas City Chiefs @ St. Louis Rams: The Chiefs need this win badly if they want to remain ahead of the Chargers in the playoff race. They are 8-5 and coming off a game where San Diego beat the poo and pee out of them, 31-0, and they haven’t played a lick of good offensive football in the last two weeks. Could the pressure be getting to them a little bit? Now they go on the road (where they are 2-5, mind you – compared to 6-0 at home…) to face a Rams team that is good at home (4-2) a team that runs the ball well, keeps the big plays to a minimum defensively and takes few chances with the ball offensively. Basically, they don’t beat themselves.

The Rams have won the rushing-battle in 9 of their last 10 games, and that’s how they keep it close. Kansas City will be a tough task for them, a definite challenge to out-rush the Chiefs, but they might just be able to make it happen. KC has given up a ton of rushing yards over the last couple weeks, getting out-rushed in San Diego by 159 yards and giving up 161 yards to Knowshon Moreno against Denver. Steven Jackson is no easy-tackle, and he’ll be running for the playoffs on Sunday.

KC needs this one bad. Can the Chiefs buck their current offensive slump or their road-rash trend? I’m not so sure, pressure can be a tough beast to slay, and there is no doubt they play different football on the road. I think it’ll be a tough game, no doubt, but the Rams need this win and I think they’ll get it at home.
