New Orleans Saints @ Baltimore Ravens NFL Week 15 Picks

New Orleans Saints @ Baltimore Ravens NFL Week 15 Picks: The Ravens probably should have lost last week after they gave up 21 unanswered points to the Houston Texans including a 2 point conversion to tie it and send it to overtime. Sure, a pick-6 ended the game and gave Baltimore a 6-point victory, but they were bad offensively in the second half, and defensively they were picked apart. Going into a home game against New Orleans isn’t much of an advantage, and if they have one half, on either side of the ball, the way they played against Houston, the Saints will eat them up.
The Ravens have really struggled to put teams away when they’ve been ahead – and they’ve struggled late in games more than anything else. Atlanta and Pittsburgh both got to the Ravens late, and Houston had that huge final 20 minutes, and New England came back late to get a win over Baltimore as well – after they were down 20-10 in the 4th quarter. The Saints have this guy, Drew Brees, and his weapons, Marques Colston, Pierre Thomas, Robert Meachem, Lance Moore, Reggie Bush, Chris Ivory, Jeremy Shockey – so, what I’m saying is that he has a lot of weapons. The Ravens will need to play at the top of their game to beat the defending Champs, and I don’t think they’re doing that, on either side of the ball, right now.
I think the Saints will dedicate themselves to the run a bit, which seems to be a nice blueprint against the Ravens, especially if they’re worried about the QB (and they damn well should be). Pierre, Ivory, Bush – they should all get carries and make their collective mark. That will be the difference; I’ll take the road dogs.
