Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles Sunday Night Football Pick

Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles Sunday Night Football Pick: The Vikings haven’t met expectations this season. They not only struggled offensively, but their stellar defense from a year ago was just a shell of the team they put on the field last year. They’ve struggled to rush the passer consistently or make the big plays. They’ve had a tougher time with field position, and spent longer portions of the game on the field – but the defense is different and that’s a big reason for the team’s 5-9 record going into the final two weeks.
The Eagles, on the other hand, have been way better than the “experts” expected, getting their 10th win last week in one of the best comebacks I’ve seen in a long time – scoring 28 points in the 4th quarter, including a walk-off punt return touchdown from DeSean Jackson. Michael Vick threw for 242 yards and 3 touchdowns while rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries. Nobody else in the league can do that stuff. He’s been awesome all year. He’s my league MVP, we’ll see what the “experts” say when all is said and voted.
Still, with as bad a season as the Vikings have had, and as good a year as the Eagles have played to this point – and with all the injuries in Minnesota, and the questions at head coach and “future” for this team, I like them getting 15 points in Philly. That’s more than 2 touchdowns, and the Vikings just aren’t that bad. I think they’ll run the ball a lot against a banged up Eagles’ defense, and that will keep them in it.
Minnesota Vikings (+15) @ Philadelphia Eagles
