Houston Texans @ Denver Broncos Point Spread Pick & Preview

Houston Texans @ Denver Broncos Point Spread Pick & Preview: It looks like anybody giving less than 4 points to the Broncos in 9 of their last 10 games would come out a winner. The Broncos have been bad, disgustingly so at times. Every once in a while they are good, and it can certainly be surprising, but against Houston, a team that shuts down the run but takes hits through the air, seems like a very tough match-up for the Tim Tebow-led Broncos.
Houston will just do what they do best defensively, stack the line, play the run, shut it down the best they can. They’ll take their lumps through the air, if and only if Tebow can pass competently enough to deliver any lumps. With all the hate for the kid, I’m hoping he does well, but I just don’t think his rookie season for a “looking toward next year” in his second game as a pro is a great place for Tebow to shine. I think he struggles more this week than he did last.
The Broncos have lost 9 of their last 10 games, fired their head coach, and put some writing on the wall for some of their elder statesmen. If this team hasn’t quit, they are better men than I expect. Houston isn’t playing for much either, I just happen to think they are the better team, playing against a bad team. Houston has plenty of struggles, but Kubiak might be back, and no team likes to “build for next season” more than the Texans. I like them here, Arian Foster should run wild.
Houston Texans (-2.5) @ Denver Broncos
