Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals Point Spread Free Pick

Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals Point Spread Free Pick: It’s amazing that the Broncos are favored on the road – that’s seriously how bad it’s gotten in Arizona where they are starting their 2nd rookie of the season, John Skelton. Skelton’s season stats are 3-4 for 50 yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, so he’s already the leader on the team in touchdown to interception ratio. They don’t have a run game and their defense is battered from all the time they spend on the field because the offense is so anemic. That whole “cut Matt Leinart” think looks like the ultimate backfire right about now, doesn’t it?

Denver is facing some adversity of their own with their head coach, Josh McDaniels getting fired earlier this week. Maybe the betting public is banking on the hopes that a new head coach will work the same magic it has in Dallas and Minnesota? Or maybe people just see how bad the Cardinals are and fade them as quick as possible? I would accept either form of betting reason.

I’m taking Denver because their running attack has looked a lot better, and while they don’t’ do much right defensively, they do a good job of putting Champ Bailey on the team’s best receiver and shutting him down all day long. I also know the Broncos can chuck it a bit – two tough things to stop make a tough day for the Cardinals defense who will undoubtedly lost the time of possession battle to the Broncos.

Take the road favorites.
