Week 11 NFL Free Picks Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots

Week 11 NFL Free Picks Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots: The Colts are almost an auto-bet when getting a field goal or more – and in this case, they end up being the smart bet as well. The Patriots were amazing last week against the Steelers, but how many games like that have they played this year? Not many – that’s how many. I expect them to come back to earth a little bit, and that should give the Manning show a chance to oust the Patriots again. Yes, again…

Remember back in the day when the Colts just couldn’t beat the Patriots? In 2003, 2004 (twice – regular season and playoffs), and 2005 (in the playoffs) Peyton and the Colts were putting up crazy numbers – but they just couldn’t get by the Patriots. In New England, in Indy, it didn’t matter – Peyton couldn’t win the big game, and that meant the Patriots (and Tom Brady) owned him. But that changed quickly in 2005. The Colts broke through with a 41-20 win in New England and that was pretty much that. Counting that game, the Colts have won 5 of the last 6 match-ups with New England, getting a little redemption in 2007 when hey ousted the Pats from the playoff picture. Indy’s just had the Patriots number lately – I wonder if people will start questioning Tom Brady’s ability to win the big one?

Bottom line, this game has been a tight one more often that not. Just a score separated them in each of the last 5 contests, and 7 of their last 10. Two good teams, both with their own holes, it should be a good show. But if I must, and I must, I’ll take the points and Peyton in New England.
