Top 5 NFL Free Picks: Week 11 NFL 2010 Predictions
Here’s a little excerpt from my Week 10 article…
“”Parlays are crap.” That’s just a little quote from last week’s article, that, with all do respect, I’ll probably be back to uttering next week. But, this week, I’m trying out a new strategy.”
“Parlayapalooza… The mad-scientist approach” ends up hitting the wallet hard. All those hard earned winnings I’d built up, gone in one hurricane of terribleness that hit my gambling account. Never good. In the end, it all comes back to one sure thing – Parlays, they are crap. Apparently, when you go 2-3 and you had 5 different parlay combinations between at least 3 of those teams, well, the going gets tough. This week, I’m back to picking single games…. damned parlays…
Starting Account Total: $1000
At Risk This Week: $500 to Win $475
Money Left: $834 with $500 of that on the line
Total W/L Last Week: (2-3)
Season W/L Record – Individual Games: (26-21-2)
Week 10 Picks Review
LOSS, LOSS, LOSS, LOSS, LOSS…
Individually, the games looked like this. But I the parlays… well… look above.
Minnesota Vikings (+3) @ Chicago Bears (Loss)
Arizona Cardinals (-3) @ HOME VS. Seattle Seahawks (Loss)
St. Louis Rams (+6.5) @ San Francisco 49ers (WIN)
Tennessee Titans (-1) @ Miami Dolphins (Loss)
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) @ Washington Redskins (WIN)
Remember, You can also keep track of me on TWITTER @AlaskanArse. I’ll update my thoughts on games, my picks and fantasy observations alike. Here’s a link to Week 1′s article if you need a little more explanation of the way I’m keeping track.
Here are Week 11′s picks and bets.
(All games this week are Bet $100 to WIN $95)
Chicago Bears (+1.5) @ Miami Dolphins
It’s just hard for me to buy Tyler Thigpen. He was the 3rd string quarterback for a reason, and one or two days of practice before a Thursday game makes his situation even that much more difficult. The fact that he’s playing a good aggressive defense like Chicago instead of someone like Seattle makes it even more difficult. Too much difficult, I’ll take the Bears, even though I don’t think they’re very good, either.
Green Bay Packers (-3) @ Minnesota Vikings
I don’t believe in the Vikings. 3 points is nothing against an offense that has more turnovers than big plays and a defense that looks very, very, ordinary against just about every half-decent team they face.
Atlanta Falcons (-3) @ St. Louis Rams
The Rams have been fun, but playing against one of the best teams in the NFC is a lot different than beating somebody in the NFC West. The Falcons are really good, and they’ll continue to show that.
Cleveland Browns (+2) @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Nobody should be buying what the Jaguars are selling. They are always tumbling when you start thinking this could be a playoff year for them. They’re turning it around. HA! They are about to turn around alright – they’ve already won their 2nd consecutive game, that’s as far as it goes for the Jags.
Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) @ New England Patriots
The Patriots won 48 states in a recent ESPN “Who’s the favorite to win the Super Bowl” poll. I’m sorry, but that just shows you how ridiculous the public is. It’s just like those stupid ESPN specials breaking down the Top 10 college football teams of all time when there’s a good undefeated college football team in the midst of a solid run. They newest and most obvious team always takes the cake. The Patriots have a good record and beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh – well, that’s it, now they’re the best team. Come on, one game, they probably lose this one at home to Indy. Then who’s the favorite??? Indy… Unreal.
