Until Mike Vick comes back down to earth, there’s no tight spread where I’ll be betting against him – not against anybody. He counters what good pass rushing teams do well by buying extra time in the pocket so he can make big plays down the field against secondaries that aren’t accustom to covering receivers that long. That ability, especially with the speed he has on the field with him at both WR spots and at RB, make the Eagles the most dangerous offense in football.

If you haven’t gotten a chance to see Vick play this year, Sunday Night football should be a treat for you. Hurry, turn on the TV, record it, whatever you need to do – it should be a montage of Mike Vick amazing plays, Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning squishy sad faced looks, and a couple huge plays from both sides. Yes, the Giants, they are good to – despite last week’s pathetic showing against the team formerly coached by Wade Phillips.

These teams seem to be moving in opposite directions. The Eagles have beaten the Colts and then destroyed the Redskins in their last two games while the Giants just got hammered (game wasn’t as close as the score pretends) by the Cowboys. It’s just a game, sure, but the Giants have shown they are a streaky team – and this might just be the start of a tough stretch for them.

This game is in prime time, where Vick has been at his best – and it will be cold in Philly, where Eli has struggled the most with interceptions and inaccurate throws. It’s for 1st place in the NFC East – and I expect the Eagles to win this battle at home.
