I think these teams are more similar, right now, than most people are led to believe – plus, the Zips have that whole “haven’t won a game yet this year and if we don’t win one soon we aren’t going to win at all” thing going on – and let me tell you, that can really push a team. Win-less is scary, and fear will push you to do some out of the ordinary things – and out of the ordinary for the Zips is playing well enough to win.

Miami-Ohio has 4 wins this season and only one of them was by more than 7 points. It’s not like their schedule has been tougher than the Zips, and it’s not like the teams they’ve beaten have been good.

I know Miami is better than Akron, but it’s closer than you’d think, and the Redhawks have had trouble finishing their opponents off. If Akron can just hang around long enough to believe, they might just win, and they should cover.
