LSU Tiger @ Arkansas Razorbacks Week 13 College Football Picks: This game fits one of my favorite trends, taking the lesser ranked team that just happens to be favored. In this case it’s even more of a must-bet because I truly think the Razorbacks are the better football team – a team that will end up beating up the Tigers through the air, something most of LSU’s foes haven’t been able to do – because the just don’t have the players to do it. The thing that’s different about this game is that Arkansas does.

LSU has been winning any way possible, and that is both a good thing about them and a bad thing. When we’re talking about good, it’s the fact that they are 10-1, with just a single loss and that was to Auburn (and they only lost by a touchdown). They’ve beaten everyone else, and in case you’re unfamiliar with the Tigers, they don’t play the easiest record around. They have played 7 home games this season, however, and there’s something to be said about a home field advantage in college football. Still, obviously they’ve been impressive.

But in many games they haven’t been awesome, they’ve actually struggled against teams like Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Mississippi – teams that the #5 team in the Nation should not struggle against. That spells trouble to me, as I think they finally have a hard time putting up enough points to hang with the Razorbacks.

Arkansas has two losses, Auburn and Alabama, but it was an epic second half collapse that saw them fall to ‘Bama, and they put up 43 against Auburn. It will be interesting to see how Mallet handles the Tigers’ defense, but I think he wins this game for his squad.
