I think their defense has been amazing in that they’ve dealt with some pretty big injuries all season long and been great despite that. But the value in Atlanta is with the home team Falcons.

Atlanta has the consistent and solid rushing attack that the Packers don’t have, and I think that ground threat makes them a more balanced and better football team. Both teams produce similar points on the offensive end, and averages say the Packers have been better defensively – I would agree with those averages. I just think the home team with the running game giving just a single point is the better bet.

That doesn’t mean that the Packers don’t have a chance. On the contrary, they have been awesome and that could continue. They’ve given up 10 points total in 3 weeks of football. I thought they were out-played by the Jets, but New York never put a point on the board against them, as the Packers won 9-0 on the road. Green Bay got Wade Phillips fired by slamming the Cowboys 45-7 in Green Bay – then they went to Minnesota and blistered the Vikings 31-3 to help get Brad Childress fired. It’s not confirmed, but I think text messages have been sent from Vikings to Packers thanking them for delivering the final straw that broke the bald guy’s job title. That’s a lot of beat-down in a row to go against them, but I have to do it. Atlanta’s my team in this one.
