Arkansas Razorbacks @ Mississippi State Bulldogs Pick & Preview

Arkansas Razorbacks @ Mississippi State Bulldogs Pick & Preview: I just happen to believe the home team Bulldogs will beat the Razorbacks outright. But just in case, if it’s a close game and it comes down to a last minute field goal or an overtime conversion, I’ll have these three and a half extra points to rap with.
The Bulldogs might not score as many points as Nebraska, so they don’t have that flash. They are also a game behind the Razorbacks, 7-3 compared to 8-2. But this Mississippi State team is good, and it’s a defense that can keep offenses off the board. Arkansas isn’t used to that, and that could be the difference in this game. The Bulldogs have given up 24 points or less in 8 of their 10 games this season. They held Georgia to 12, Florida to 7, and Kentucky to 17. They can really run the ball and I expect Arkansas to have trouble stopping them there.
I know the Razorbacks have only lost to Auburn and Alabama, beating everyone else, and thus showing they are a pretty good damn team. But the Bulldogs have been playing very well, winning 6 of their last 7 before falling to Alabama.
Just about every game the Razorbacks lost the running battle, they’ve struggled with. Auburn out-rushed them by nearly 200 yards and they lost. Alabama run crazy in the 2nd half and came back from a big deficit to beat the Razorbacks. I think that trend continues.
They can run the ball and they can stop the run, and that dynamic duo should get them the win at home.
#13 Arkansas Razorbacks @ #21 Mississippi State Bulldogs (+3.5)
