Miami Dolphins VS Buffalo Bills: Free NFL Predictions
September 10, 2010 by luckylester
I’m not stoked about the Dolphins this season. They continue to whiff on draft picks and eventually that slams you. I don’t think they’ll be terrible this year, but they can’t continue to plug huge holes via free agency. Okay, enough preaching to choirs, why are the Dolphins a solid pick this weekend?
Not because they are that good, but because the Bills haven’t addressed major problems in quite some time. They have a great secondary, and if they were going up against a pass-first team, they could find a place to shine – but unless they make some big tackles during the Dolphins 50 rushing plays this weekend, that impact is going to be minimal.
I don’t think the Dolphins will run the ball as effectively as they have in years’ passed, but they still have two very talented running backs, a quarterback that began coming into his own last season, and the dominant receiver they haven’t had in forever. Brandon Marshall is just a receiver, but he could make a big impact on how defenses go up against the Dolphins. Instead of pretending to worry about the speed of Ted Ginn Jr. those defenses will have to actually worry about the hands, speed, and size of Marshall.
And then there is the Bills offense. They were a team with talented running backs and a blah offensive line. So they went and drafted the best running back in the draft and didn’t do much to clean up that offensive line weakness. It will be interesting in Buffalo, a new coaching regime always is, but it’s hard to expect Buffalo to take it to a team built to beat them.

Miami Dolphins (-3) @ Buffalo Bills
