Washington Redskins: 2010 NFL Draft Review & Grade
April 25, 2010 by luckylester
Washington Redskins: Their draft basically consisted of Trent Williams and some other guys, but you have to take into account the addition of Donovan McNabb, and the fact that they left the draft with Haynesworth on their roster. Win and win. Getting McNabb not only upgrades their QB position, but he brings a winning leadership to the team. Already, his work and dedication is wearing off on some young players in Washington – this team will be better because of it. Williams might not be polished, but his athleticism will make him a good player in Washington’s new blocking scheme, and they desperately needed help there. Keeping Haynesworth might not have been what they wanted to do, but he’s one of the best defensive linemen in the game, and even if the scheme isn’t perfect for him, you can’t tell me you’ll find a better DL on the Redskins’ roster. Hopefully that’s why they decided to keep him. The draft alone might not be great, but you have to take those other things into account as well. B- Back to the 2010 NFL Draft grading team list.
