Tennessee Titans: 2010 NFL Draft Review & Grade

April 25, 2010 by

Tennessee Titans: Starting with Derrick Morgan makes it hard to give anything less than a B to the Titans – but they didn’t help themselves too much after their great value in Round 1. Damian Williams does a lot of things well, including catching the football and running great routes. He’s not a game changer at the position, but as far as safe, solid, and productive go – this 3rd round get was a steal. After that, I’m not too excited. Renie Curran is a decent prospect, but I’m not sure he’s good enough to be the starter they need at the position. Alterraun Verner has upside, but there might have been better players on the board at that time, and they gave up LenDale White and Kevin Vickerson to get him. Interesting trade in value there. Robert Johnson is a guy I like because of his height and skill set. He played an important role on a very good Utah defense over the last couple years, and while he’s definitely an under the radar guy, he has a chance to help the Titans in a suspect secondary. Myron Rolle is a great value pick late, because you know the kid has the nuts and bolts up top to figure it out. He’s not an elite athlete, but he’s a very smart football player that rarely gives up big plays. The Titans did need help in that department. It wasn’t a bad few days for Tennessee, but they’ve had better drafts. B- Back to the 2010 NFL Draft grading team list.
