New York Giants: 2010 NFL Draft Review & Grade

April 25, 2010 by

New York Giants: The Giants started with Jason Pierre-Paul and that was a great upside pick for them. Once again, they felt the need to draft the best value on the board, and I can’t think of a better one than JPP was at that point. He has the upside to become a star player in the NFL – not many guys can say that. Linval Joseph is a beast of a man at DT, and he moves like someone 50lbs lighter. He’ll play immediately and help turn the Giants run defense around right away. Their 4th round pick, Phillip Dillard, is another guy getting ready to help improve that D against the run. He’s greatly undervalued and was a big time player in Nebraska’s front 7. I imagine he’ll start. Chad Jones has great potential and elite size. The Giants needed to get better defensively, and they certainly did that – they might have plucked 3 starters for an already solid team heading into the 2010 season. A- Back to the 2010 NFL Draft grading team list.
